Canada did just enough to get to the bronze medal round of the women's team pursuit - it's going to be tough to beat the US, but this is a significantly better performance than yesterday.

Just now, Surlympics said:

yeah they must have been saving it for today, they were way better then yesterday

To be fair - I dont think any of the teams were anticipating Germany going out that strong and all the teams that went after them really struggled (Canada, NZL, Australia).

yeah I think they were throwing it yesterday too. The one thing going for Canada against the Americans is the Americans went extremely hard against the Brits who set a new world record to try and get into the gold medal final

    • this is not funny at all, pal
    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
    • One of the worst possible draw for us. Group really easy but having to face  or  in the Round of 32 is devastating.
    • Always dreamed Gretzky will draw Slovakia was another moment I can already remove from my things to do before die list
    • Finland have been awful in almost all winter sports, well beside ice hockey and cross-country from time to time, for a lot of years. It's very good to see them building people to challenge for wins again. Their new coach has done wonders it seems.
    • 14th June in Philadelphia against Cote d´Ivoire   20th June inToronto against Curacao   and 25th June in Philadeplphia to kick out  home    Not easy, but not the most difficult group. Should be okay. Vamos
