Gonna be a long birthday party weekend for Shiffrin. Of course Are is where she won her 1st ever World Cup event - slalom in December 2012. I believe Hansdotter led after the first run but like so many other times was forced to settle for 2nd place

What's this thing I see in media/hear in commentary about Shiffrin "finally tying Stenmark's record!"? I mean, she's 27, how on earth is it a matter of 'finally'?

Paula Moltzan advances into top slalom group. Liensberger after a horrendous season finally drops out.

Liensberger almost 3 seconds slower than Shiffrin in 1st run. This is an utter joke. Why is she even competing this season? She has completely collapsed ever since winning the 2021 World Champs. Even Livio Magoni did nothing to solve her slump.
