Some great old photos here, equally interesting for fans of the Olympics & tram driving.  I hadn’t heard the phrase  “catch as catch can” wrestling for decades, but according to Wikipedia it is the Olympic ancestor of modern Pro Wrestling.  In Britain up until about the 30s, it was a genuine old-school sport, not showbiz.
