oh. only if they had this competition before the 25m pistol event :( Veronika Major qualified through that event and the Iranian girl finished 3rd and missed the quota.

no quota but we had 3 finalists (all of them their first ever final) not bad but I was expecting more from our "experienced" shooters, Ahmadi tied with the World Record in the elimination round but today she finished 52nd. 30pts below her own marks from yesterday

which is normally the case...

it's quite unusual to see fire weapons events held before the air weapons'...but this time it went that way...

on the other side, if they went the other way round, now it would be the Korean Kim (who today won her quota place as 4th ranked) to call it an unlucky circumstance...

every medal has always 2 sides...

There it is, a perfect example. Romania placed second here and I'd say it's almost certain that they will fail to qualify someone in both genders. Almost no chance for Olympic participation.

Those two mixed team quotas were perfectly wasted on China and Russia.

naaa, I think Moldoveanu and Coman are both good enough to qualify as individuals...

but I agree on the rest of your post...;)

    • Unfortunate, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm looking forward to Thursday evening, when the team captain's meeting is over and we have our very first World Cup start list of the season. Always a cool moment to see who's there and everything
    • Today I unpacked some of the boxes in which we have put my way too many books to move to our house, and I came across these beauty's I hadn't seen for a while     Absolutely recommended, tough to get for a decent price, but they are such an interesting read with lots of very interesting little stories! Still looking for at least 1900, 1904 and 1906, but not really in the right moment to spend money on that now, so the wait goes on
    • Which I guess is part of why unfortunately 'our' first wild card attempt of the season was rejected last week
