There is no need to win the race, In African qualifiers finished third in Men's Single Sculls and first in Women's Single Sculls and qualified in both events. There is conflicting understanding of the qualification document. I still understand that 2 boats qualify irrespective of gender & placing provided they finish in qualifying position. A lot depends on how many we qualify in Athletics & qualifying 4x400 men & 4x400 mixed is a must for that.
