So Sjusjøen is back on the schedule.

"In collaboration with the Norwegian Ski Association, the Olympic Park and Ringsaker Almenning, we have decided that the best thing is to organize the start of the season at Natrudstilen as originally planned. There will be short runs in both places, and equally tough conditions. This solution takes the total into account the most, says general secretary Morten Djupvik of the Norwegian Biathlon Union in a press release.

Challenges with snow production led to the start of the season being moved to the Birkebeiner Ski Stadium in Lillehammer, but on Sunday the counter-notification came that it will still start at Sjusjøen as normal.  https://www.nrk.no/sport/1.16167939"

The French team has arrived in Sweden, the Czech team in Norway to participate.

However, there is still little snow in Sjusjeon, which means that the Italian team has now moved to Beitostolen and will not start in Sjusjeon.

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
