Situation:

Valdes Paris going for 140kg in her last attempt. Commentator: "To move her up to a guaranteed total bronze medal."

:dunno:

And they don't even correct their mistake. In fact, after she made the lift and went to 250kg (2nd place, with two athletes still having to start their CJ): "You know what? She's guaranteed to end up on the podium."

And no, they were not talking about a CJ medal, they had already said she guaranteed herself of at least CJ bronze earlier.

First time I ever saw this Ao Hui, but she looks like a nice winner :cheer:

Almost kinda like the Fu Yuanhui of weightlifting, with her cheering and laughter and overall happiness :cheer:

Kashirina starts almost at the level she started with at the 2014 world champs, where everyone went full retard all week long and she destroyed the world records :d

As always the women's super heavy weights look a bit....meh. I mean, here are these absolute beasts of well over 100kg and probably well over 125kg as well, yet they are barely lifting a bar with 4 weights on it, in some cases not even coming close to their own bodyweight...the body size/weight size ratio looks a bit sad :p

that's going to be real fun , Suping was able to lift 145 IMO

Yep, I was fearing Kashirina would be too much ahead after snatch and the competition would be more or less dead, but this is good :d

It's also a bit boring because we only get to see powerhouses competing. Samoa or Nigeria should have somebody here, for example. :p
