hard to see many of the luge hosting countries letting Russian and Belarusian competitors in it will be a moot point anyway.

FIL have done this in the hope that the conflict ends by the start of the season, can see them being banned again once most of the athletes refuse to compete in WC events.

It’s not only that. Many countries won’t allow Russians into compete anyway.

It would be good if FIL keeps their backs straight and just says "ok, bye" to refusing athletes. I know, not likely to happen, but still.
