Wow, that's quite something...a few months before :yikes:

At least with the beach games, some 1st or 2nd world country can just step into host them when they were supposed to be held. Apparently there’s been a lot of interest from Asian where they’ve already perfected this model of games.

It´s now official Slovakia will have only 3 athletes in Dauha :( Only 3 athletes managed to qualify. One of our 3 Aquathletes (Marek Pavúk, Matúš Verbovský, Oliver Dodok) will represent us in Aquathlon and 2 karateka qualified in Kata Ema Brázdová in W and Peter Fabian in M

Also officially Surfing has been dropped from the program, with the official reason being obvious "there no waves in Dauha" :p

Slovakia isn’t known for its white sand beaches to be fair. California, Oregon, Washington and the US East Coast are a bit better suited to beach sports. I think we should host the next edition on the warm, steaming coast of Alaska.

yeah well, thankfully now when the borders are open it looks like the whole Slovakia can "easily" travel to Croatia and enjoy the sea :d

but at the time of the communism when leaving the country was forbidden the peoples had to enjoy our fabulous lakes resorts, so you have really easily to uderstand why Slovaks loves sea :p

Those are the final Team Sizes for all teams. The US seems to have still been given the quotas promised to them as the original hosts for some reason. I like the amount and diversity of countries. 97 NOCs in total qualified. There are 19 from Africa and 5 from Oceania, which is great. The America’s have 21 NOCs with Asia having a few more. Europe either had 32 or 35 countries represented, which isn’t terrible. Looking forward to these games after the success of other Beach games.

If a mod ( @Sindo, @vinipereira, or @hckosice) could combine those lists and them to the first/main page/post or give me the ability to do that; That would be great.

    • so, the 2025 season is officially over, after the World Cup Finals have been completed with the Shotgun events, where (once again!!!) a new format for the final stage of each event has been experimented for the first time (before it becomes a regular feature in the next season)   the new format enlarge the starting field in each event's final stage to 8 shooters and dramatically shortens the number of target shots to decide the placings   the only characteristic remaining is the progressive eliminations principle   now, as written above, 8 shooters make the final, where after only 12 targets the eliminations start: by then, the last 2 shooters must leave the competition (7th and 8th ranked)   after 12 more targets (24 in total), 2 more shooters have to leave the final (5th and 6th ranked)   then, the crazy carousel starts: every 4 targets we have a new elimination  so, after 28 targets, the 4th ranked shooter is done; after 32 targets the bronze medallist is known and after only 36 targets (provided there's no need for a shoot-off), compared to the previous 60, the gold and silver medallists are crowned   I guess the tiktok people with the attention span of a chinchilla have won once again
