Well, we have a different Race Director this year

Nyck De Vries voted driver of the day! Latifi can't leave F1 soon enough...

Well, with or without a new race director, he must think about the fans, who expect to see racing till the end, not just a walk behind safety car when the track it's clear.

About De Vries, he looks a great talent, but let's see him in the future. Latifi is one of the weakest drivers in F1 in last 10-15 years.

This is def the most annoying crowd in F1 at the moment.

Monza worked hard to try and beat that, not without success. Which is rather impressive :p

Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Great Britain and Austria are definitely races I'm going to stay away from for the foreseeable future (although GB might come back once Hamilton is gone and the crowd there cools down with it). Better just go to non-European races. You know, like if China comes back or something. Can't have an annoying crowd without a crowd :d

By the way, I don't know how it is for all other countries (like Ferrari fans in Monza or Rossi fans in Misano and such have always been known to not be exactly...fantastic, to say the least), but here in the Netherlands the fanbase in terms of going to the tracks has largely been taken over by 'football fans' types of groups. You know, the type that goes to the football stadium not really to enjoy a match, but to drink 10 beers, because they base the amount of fun they had on the amount of alcoholic drinks they drank. There are still race fans going, but that group is more and more staying away because they're basically being pushed out by the hooligans who only go for the 'party' and the drinking. No thanks..

Another win for Checo :hyper: :champion:

A nice season for him, despite some setbacks and the tongues of his critics.

He got away lucky with that safety car situation (especially driving right up to the SC got me nervous), and thank goodness he did, because that was as tight and faultless of a race as you can get

Fantastic job, one of the drives of his career I might even say.

Pierre Gasly moves to Alpine on a multi-year deal replacing Alonso and Nyck De Vries steps in for the vacated Alpha Tauri seat. Those moves were rumoured in the last month or so and now they're official. So two Dutchmen full-time in F1 for @heywoodu :p

This also means two seats are left open for 2023 - at Williams and Haas (with Schumacher not officially out but more or less expected to be out).

Just like Christijan Albers and Robert Doornbos for a bit, but somehow I feel like the Verstappen-De Vries period will result in a tad more Dutch points than the Albers-Doornbos period :p
