I'm a little disapointed with the results, mainly because that 4th place was due to venezuelan rather our own results :/

Yeah, it looks like Chile will have a similar performance relative to 2018. That's not a terrible thing when you consider Brazil came to play here and won over 100 more medals relative to 2018. A result like that essentially pushes everyone down so staying the same can be seen as an improvement.

I know, my comment was more from the excitement of fighting a place we haven't since ages, in a different time of sport

I also have the gold medals/per million of inhabitants, as a positive result

well, the sports women/men did everything they have and more :D!!!

It was kinda unnecessary for Brazil to send the best swimmers, we would get first place at the medal table either way. Also unecessary to send Isaquias Queiroz without training only to get a bronze medal.

Some questionable decisions from our commitee here, but in the end I hope we can improve a little our results at the Pan Ams compared to 2019.

Asuncion 2022 were a very good south american games for me, in general, i hope the nexte will be in Rosario-Santa Fe.

Brazil dominate easily the medal table in this case, in Cochabamba Colombia defeated Brazil but in this time that was veryyy long to happen in any moment of the competition.

Argentina did better in this time without good sports for us like racquetball and Pelota Vasca (lesser the modern pentatlon), Venezuela directly collapsed than in Cochabamba and Chile is now the fourth country of south america.

The rest, more or less, continue the same, Aruba did great, Bolivia collapsed too and Suriname disapear of the medal table.

With the strategy of sending the best athletes in many individual sports and not caring about team sports (except those wich gave quotas to Pan American Games), I fully expected Brazil to return to first place.

A marriage has now come out of these Games.

    • I'll post significant changes periodically. I'll start with the recently added/updated documents.   Archery The addition of mixed compound (12M & 12W) forced a reduction on the recurve side. The mixed compound quotas are distributed as follows   Host - 1 World Championships - 3 Continental Games - 5 World Ranking List - 2 Final Qualifier - 1   To compensate the team events will now only have 8 nations. 2 quotas were removed from the World Ranking List and 2 were removed from the Final Qualifier.   Individual recurve and mixed recurve distribution is the same
    • In Rome, it would be useful to roof the swimming pool complex at Foro Italico, possibly with the option of retracting the roof and covering the tennis court complex. Overall, there's a lot to do, for example, compared to Budapest, but unfortunately, this is Italy How many years has Roma been building their new stadium, and they keep pushing back the completion date- now I read it's 2030? and it should be ready. The same goes for Milan- there should be a modern complex of indoor swimming pools with 50 meters pools, etc., but there's a problem with one stupid football stadium, which will only be built after an ultimatum from UEFA

She wasn’t a top-tier athlete in that program anymore. She was at the end of her career. I would personally would rather race against Katie. She’s not as competitive as the other athletes,” he said. “It’s probably really unfair to say and not really where I want to go with this but that’s where we are with that.”   Uhlaender: “If I were Canada, I would be concerned in how this coach is representing the Olympic values for his country,” Uhlaender told Fox News Digital. “He hurt a whole field of athletes, all with dreams, and this sends the message that they don’t matter unless they are number one. All athletes matter, and we all deserve to compete fairly, with integrity, and respect. He did not respect anyone in that field. “This is not about my resume or how good the athletes were in the race. This is about the fact that he intentionally manipulated the competition to hurt myself and 13 other countries because he felt it necessary to eliminate all possibility. That is against the spirit of sport and not what the Olympic movement represents.”   Isn't it great when other people's dirty laundry is aired?  /sarcasm     (I was a little surprised to see NPR pick this up, but per this article, Uhlaender preemptively recorded the phone call after receiving a text from Cecchini that said he had 'bad news' for her.)
