Asgreen taking a toilet break on the climb!

Rolf Sørensen don't think the peloton can gain more than 2 minutes per lap. Doesn't sound right to me, but it is a big gap, especially as it doesn't seem like anybody wants to help France at the moment.

The peloton can 'easily' make up 15 minutes in 100km on this course, no doubt :p

He said it at a pretty early stage of the race, but he sounds more cautious about it now.

One of the Dutch commentators always has a standard rule, "1 minute per 10km" is what the peloton can make up, no matter the profile :p

Bullshit of course on a course like this, but with 18:45 minutes and 187km to go, that's a good time to start closing the gap :p

Several of the Danish commentators use that one as well, though they mainly mention it on the flat races.

A well organized peloton can easily catch the break. The dangerous thing is, what if the race splits on the descent or some favorites go really early before the break is caught. For the same reason Paris Roubaix is so often won by the break as the peloton thinks it can easily close a 3 or 4 minutes gap until suddenly the peloton blows up in arenberg and nobody is able to organize a proper chase. If something unexpected happens this could be dangerous for the favorites.
