Gale and Leduc starting to establish themselves as excellent relay options. Probably won’t qualify the mixed relay, but if we do Robinson would be a good option.

The last two W4x400 4ths (that's a lot of 4s) at the Olympics were surprises. They're bona fida medal contenders now. Doesn't mean it's a given, but it's a serious possibility.

They were medal contenders before lol. After the 2022/2023 Worlds (in which they placed 4th both times), I knew it wasn’t a fluke.

Entries are out for the Doha Diamond League, which is on May 10.

Kieran Lumb will attempt to breach the OQS of 3:33.50 in the men’s 1500m (Although his PB is about a second off, his SB is more than ten seconds off, so it doesn’t seem likely), while Aaron Brown will be racing in the men’s 200m. Brown ran really well during the World Athletics Relays, so I’m hoping for sub 20.10.

Entries for Götzis (May 18-19) are now out.

No LePage, or any Canadian heptathletes, but reigning Olympic champion Damian Warner will be competing in the decathlon. Hoping for at least 8800 points at this point of the season. If you compare his decathlon results from 2021, you’ll probably want it to be even better than that though, he recorded 8995 points at this event on route to his 9018 points at the Ariake Stadium.

Edit: There’s been entry lists going around but the organizers of Gotzis have said it didn’t come from them so I’m not sure. Hopefully we’ll have a couple more athletes.

More Canadians in action at the PAC-12 Championships (May 12-14)

Myles Misner-Daley is entered in the men’s 400m, and Ella Clayton in the women’s 400m, but the most intriguing entry is Rowan Hamilton in men’s hammer throw, who just recently produced a new PB, by breaking the 77m barrier.

Jerome Blake (men’s 100m) and Brendon Rodney (men’s 200m) will be competing at the Jamaica Athletics Invitational today. The incompetent organizers of the event didn’t release the entry lists until today, which is why I didn’t share this news sooner.
