3rd seed Luksika Kumkhum lost to unseeded Eudice Chong in women's singles. This gives the Chinese top two seeds a larger chance at winning the Olympic quota.

Two unseeded athletes reached the quarterfinals in the women's singles Eudice Chong and Aldila Sutjiadi, With the fourth and fifth seeds gone too one of the Chinese duo is very likely to win the Olympic quota.

I had hope that Kumkhum will qualify, but since she lost I cheer Sutjiadi.

 

Anyone know if Zhang or Wang will be winner here and later will qualify via ranking then their spot will go for next player in the WTA ranking or finalist from these Games?

Sutjiadi would need to reach the top 300 to qualify though.
