Olympian1010 7,558 Posted October 9, 2023 #381 Share Posted October 9, 2023 NBC Sports is reporting that lacrosse and squash are indeed part of the proposal. LA28 will ask for six(!) additional sports at the IOC Session. Josh 1 “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. I think the additional quotas will be allowed as per the IOC (thank god). No one was looking forward to 4 entries in some events

Yeah, that was a pleasant surprise, especially since there was zero reporting suggesting that. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. I think we’ll see them design a strategy to increase quotas for this edition. mrv86 1 “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. JoshMartini007 2,292 Posted October 9, 2023 #387 Share Posted October 9, 2023 Lacrosse is great to watch, but the sport is less developed worldwide than flag football NearPup, El Analyzer and Josh
Federer91 2,206 Posted October 9, 2023 #388 Share Posted October 9, 2023 I'm surprised NBC hasn't requested Americas Got Talent as an Olympic sport. sounak, Laraja, Giovanni Gianni Cattaneo and 5 others
El Analyzer 160 Posted October 9, 2023 #389 Share Posted October 9, 2023 My take about this suggestions: - Baseball / Softball are popular in USA and all fields are ready to host and will attract a lot of audience - same with Lacrosse and Flag football but to a bit less extent - Cricket is very popular in Asia and economically a great choice with decent number of Fans worldwide - Squash is a great surprise.. very cheap to setup a court anywhere.. I guess it has been selected to balance the situation with some European countries like happy for & .. hope they claim few medals
