There are lots of major finnish artists, but they're mainly metal bands.

You may very well have heard names like Nightwish, HIM, Apocalyptica, Children of Bodom.

In other words there aren't much mainstream succes, but in metal music Finland is a pretty well-known country (not that I'm an expert in metal)

Of couse i know some of those bands, especially Nightwish, but i was talking about pop music. The other scandinavian countries have great pop/electric/house artists, so why does Finland have an other "style", why doesnt Finland have any/many great electric/pop/house artists? Do you have any idea?

If I chose Finland, I would have picked some song from Lau Nau or Jaakko Eino Kalevi - completely non-metal Finnish brands :)

Absolutely buddy, from what you say it seems they have a close association with Cuba so it would be no harm at all.  I'm sure nobody would have any objection with that especially since the Festival of Music is for fun and can easily be more flexible given that it is in the best possible spirit you want to present this music :)

Excellent! :d

Well. Denmark doesn't have that much pop succes internationally. We've had 5 songs on the billboards top 10. It is pretty unique that we have 2 pop artists with international succes with both MØ and Lukas Graham having top 10 places.

About Finland I don't really know why their non-metal artists doesn't manage as well.

ROUND TWO

Birdy and Rhodes - LET IT ALL GO

Years and Years - EYES SHUT

Coldplay - ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME

FINAL ROUND

Interesting, so no Adele (When we were young), Ella Eyre (Together) or James Bay (Let it go) fans in the jury? :p

I wouldve given you 12 points anyway, but why didnt you chose "Keeping Your Head Up" instead?

Ibeyi are Cuban-born, Paris based twin sisters Lisa-Kaïndé and Naomi Diaz. They sing in French, English, Spanish and Yoruba, which was brought to Cuba by West African slaves. Ibeyi honor their father’s legacy, Cuban jazz percussionist Miguel "Angá" Díaz through their percussive production. Beatsmith Naomi plays both the cajón and the batá while Lisa-Kaindé plays the piano and sings the main vocals.

I heard this song before ... :d

Did they have other successful songs or were they a "one-hit-wonder"?

I think this song has been used in tons of movies, but i never realized that it was created by a finnish band.

Edit: When i am done watching the video, it shows "Pillowtalk" by Zayn in the bottom right corner, this song has one of the "best" music videos ever ... and Jimmy Fallon also did a lip sync battle with it.
