Wrestling UWW Junior European Championships 2018

:ITA Giovanni Freni made it through to the Gold Medal match in the Greco-Roman -55kg...:bounce:

later today he's going to face the Armenian Tigran Minasyan in the bout for the title...

the other finals (all in GR, of course) scheduled for today are:

-63kg: BLR vs UKR

-77kg: RUS vs BUL

-87kg: GEO vs HUN

-130kg: RUS vs GER

so, we have 9 different Countries out of 10 possible spots in the Gold Medal bouts...not bad...

Am i missing something? RUS and BUL are each in 2 finals ... ?

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

Don't you post the results from women competition? or you just consider them unworthy of this sport? :p

If the lights light up exactly at the correct moment, he was definitely first, since his light went on first. Not sure if those lights are 100% accurate though?

no, it's just lack of time...:dunno:

if someone wants to make up for that, it's more than welcome...;)

otherwise, you have to wait until Monday or Tuesday, when I have more time and can update this thread with all the medallists (women and men's FS included)...

    • Suspect strongly that the Sultan of  is behind Global Wushu!     Another one is long distance & ultra triathlon.  There are literally millions being paid out in prize money, huge FTA TV coverage but seemingly no prospect of any profit.   And the classic is obstacle racing, which has effectively bought up the ownership of Modern Pentathlon.
    • apparently the Japanese organizers rejected OCA's nice request    now OCA is ordering them to do so in a not-so-nice language https://oca.asia/media/attachments/memberships_subcommittee/5/Decision_-_103rd_OCA_EB_Meeting_5ypY8y4.pdf   the last line is very interesting   I knew this for a while, for example that's why Jujjtsu is included in all of OCA events (despite being the worst sport to watch) but good to see OCA admit this. so with the corrupt OCA you can buy your way in. how much they paid the OCA officials for this ?   OK I know Qatar is financially supporting Padel (and UAE is paying everything for Jujitsu) but who is behind Teqball?  ! I don't think Thailand can do that.
    • Important information on team Aerials.   There is no AIN`s team at the start list of the world cup despite of the fact that belorussians have enough athletes to have a team.   https://medias4.fis-ski.com/pdf/2026/FS/8119/2026FS8119SLF1.pdf
    • By the way. It looks like no AIN`s will be in biathlon by the start of the Olympics. Russians filed an appeal to CAS to get AIN statuses in biathlon. But IBU did not agree to have hearings with short procedure. So the decisons are not expected before the end of qulifying period. (FIS could do the same but its top-officials prefer to help russians be back as quick as possible).   I would like to see Dolidovich at the Games. Because she is a real refugee of the relatively high level.
