3 Russian girls entered our junior team. Their coach wanted to work for Belarus but something screwed up there (Belarusians didn't want to anger Russians?) so they settled in Ukraine. Their parents are Ukrainians so all 3 are in the process of receiving our citizenship.

They're taking part in our National Junior Championships this week, wearing Ukrainian uniform and representing Kyiv region.

Anastasia Rasskazova (20 yo) - she used to be #16 at the recent IBU Junior Cup. She's 11th in the Russian Junior ranking.

Quarantine: December 16, 2019.

Yekaterina Bekh (19 yo) - she was 32nd and 65th at the Cup. Horrible shooting but... it seems she has worked on it)) She's already got 2 gold medals at our Junior Championships while Rasskazova was 4th. Quarantine: December 15, 2018.

Oksana Moskalenko (18 yo) - 15th in the Russian Youth ranking. No quarantine.

Snizhana Tiseyeva is back from Moldova.

She's so gorgeous... after that car crash when she burnt & injured her face and body((( She went through several surgeries, broke up with Tyshchenko who drove that car, moved to Moldova with her dad... and now she's back.

Sweden’s Olympic biathlon champion Peppe Femling was injured in a freak accident when one of his ski poles went through his calf muscle as he dived to avoid a car ahead of a competition on Thursday. The 26-year-old, who was part of the Swedish relay team that sensationally won a gold medal at this year’s Pyeongchang Games, was warming up for a roller-ski event in Lysebotn in Norway when he had to jump into a ditch to avoid colliding with the car.

He was airlifted to hospital where the ski pole was removed from his calf. “The pole stuck out one metre the other side,” coach Johan Haeggstroem told news agency TT, adding that Femling was in good spirits following a successful operation.

Oh well, Rastorgujevs made the final of a purely shooting competition where Hanna Öberg was eliminated. I am not taking this seriously anymore :d

FINALLY some actually Brazilian looking clothes :hearts: :woohoo::hyper: Ok, not the competition outfit yet if I'm not mistaken, but still, this is a big improvement already on the incredibly dull white suits with some green accents. Come on people, you're an exotic nation in winter sports, have exotic suits to show for it!

Spoiler

The South American biathlon championships in Bariloche (Argentina) have been opened today in fitting style: athletes are staying at the local military base and the opening was apparently done in full military style, including the athletes having to march in the 'right' way and everything :d Photos have been made and will probably be available later this week, so hold on for that :p

Now, there have been some snow problems, meaning that so far, the only confirmed race of the South American biathlon championships is......a cross-country skiing race tomorrow  The course for that is alright, the biathlon lap is not yet

There is hope for snow tomorrow though, meaning maybe there'll be biathlon on Thursday and Friday :)
