Couldn't you recruit 4 other girls so that she can at least get her 140.80 FIS points?

There are a few other (young) girls, but they hadn't prepared for classic and so arrived today (or will arrive tomorrow, not sure) for the freestyle races. Federation wanted this race cancelled because of that, but since every race - even with one athlete - gives a certain small amount of prize money, she was logically against the cancellation and they let her start (the prize money is not much, but she very much needs every penny).

Nobody is happy with this, as you can imagine she as an athlete wants to really win races, not be the winner of a ghost race. Not her fault though, she does everything by the book.

I believe Taynara, Luana and Isabelly will be there tomorrow. Another one was supposed to be there, but won't be, so I'm kinda hoping on a 4th post-2000 girl or this Gabriela (who is a coach) participating to complete a field of 5.

Three participants in today's race....only Taynara da Silva and the coach are other competitor, the rest didn't show up today. Since the champ is sick and Taynara has been improving, who knows, there might finally be a bit of a fight when the races finally start today (it's waiting for an ambulance to arrive, FIS requirement).

And we've got a tied 1st place in the men's sprint.

Photos and videos from other angles, as well as the finish photo, both of which could possibly show a single winner, have not been made public.

Therese Johaug has signed a 5-year sponsorship deal with Blivakker, one of Norway’s biggest make-up shops.

Blivakker, who is part of Brandsdal Group AS, writes in a press release:

“We are proud that one of Norway’s biggest sports star wants to join Brandsdal Group. We see Therese Johaug as a good model to promote our products for Blivakker. We will soon launch a new product line of lipsticks at Blivakker and we hope that Johaug’s name will add an extra commercial awareness to our new product line – says CMO of Brandsdal Group AS, Nina Gjorum.”

She needed a new dietary sponsor?

Edit:

Spoiler

Thought it sounded fishy when I read 'Brandsdal' and then realized the day, oops :p

Yes! :woohoo:

According to VG.no, the 50km and 30km in Oslo will go back to a intervalstart in classic technique from 2021. This idea was proposed by the Russian delegation and approved by most nations on the FIS Cross-Country commitee meeting in Dubrovnik. It only needs to be approved by the FIS Council on Sunday (tomorrow).

Last time there was a 50km and 30km intervalstart in Oslo was back in 2009.
