As for Croatia, to the surprise of no one, we have failed to make the final yet again. The last time we made it was 2016, which was incidentally the last time Bosnia and Herzegovina competed as well. :p And before 2016, we have to go back to 2009.

But :BIH is not coming back... ever. Ex-yu was a big thorn in the ESC's eye for years, but alas they managed to solve it for good. :p

Yeah, the whole let's get inspired by Taylor Swift's "Willow" borrow the melody, the vocals and bring an acoustic guitar on stage didn't work out too good this year.

But in any case, you guys qualified to the final in 2018, didn't you? I REFUSE to believe in an alternate reality where people didn't vote for Franka.

I say just let the Americans vote :p

Just rewatched Franka out of curiosity and holy shit did they leave her out there to die with no choreography and no scenography.

She had great live vocals, but this is what I call the "Macedonian budget award"

If anybody wants to know anything more about the "Macedonian budget award", well, all I can say is that Macedonia doesn't need to do anything, they just get it by default every year by doing nothing.

But sometimes other European countries want a taste of that sweet sweet Macedonian ESC budget.

If you need another example of a "Macedonian budget award" look no further than our very own Jurijus with a black T-shirt and jeans from probably Zara back in 2019.  Ooh look, pretty shiny golden lights in between the close-ups.

Well, it worked for the Belgian boy with "Dirty Diana", so I can't blame you for trying.

Sounds bad, but remember: Romania this year only had money to buy half t-shirts for the guys, and Spain went for such an expensive outfit that they could only cover the bare minimum of her singer :p

Yeah, the clothes shortage of 2022 really hit a lot of the entrants this year. Most countries were able to dress their main vocalist, but the dancers, oh god the dancers. So many shirtless men on stage. Is this the equality that we strived for??? Men can no longer afford a shirt and many were even shopping in the women's section.

Right, still somehow implement the 'you can not vote on your own country' thing :p

Then the opposite will happen: they will almost surely never win cuz all that people can't vote their own song :p

And not even thinking yet about all the diaspora issues...

Yeah in the end I guess it's just impossible to really solve these issues...

    • Honestly, I think you guys have a much better chance of success here than we do. It's already difficult to maintain this sport, and with this ridiculous format this year, things have gotten even worse. Years and years participating in the elite and we haven't been able to evolve; it was just a waste.

    • Another weak result for our athletics team, which is typical; without Caio or Alisson, our chances of a medal in any high-level tournament are almost zero.   However, Juliana's result in the women's pole vault was a great 7th place. She is improving rapidly and still has a lot of room for growth.
