What an exaggeration. The brazilian boxer himself said he was not offended, understands that it is the cuban fighting style. Even the cuban spoke very well of the Brazilian after the fight.

Maybe this is the cuban fighting style, but none of the other cuban boxers in another finals behaved like him.

Even he was the best ranked athlete, this gold is one of the more surprising for me considering his bad results from the last several months.

Not only him, but the Brazilian badminton overall had a very surprising result.

I don't really follow badminton, but considering the history of Brazilian badminton I thought 2 medals would be a lot.

Wow Fainberg :ARG

So young, yet she looks very severe. Probably the music selection had some part in it, but she's a rising star.

She just made a disaster in the ball (which is her best)  these jinx comments.

Well, I'm sorry about that. I won't comment further.

It's karma for Mexican gymnasts now... both with many errors in their last Pan Am Games. Saddest thing there is no young competitor close to what both, Galindo and Díaz, achieved in their time.

Brazil's group deserved a better score in rhythmics. But that's ok. Cuba was a huge surprise. The US is very inconsistent, so if they falter tomorrow, Cuba could get a medal.

9th place in ball. The worst is that our weak gymnast took the 8th :wall:

Argentina can (and should) take D'Arcangelo out of the final so Fainberg can compete.

Is it possible to do that without injury?

I also imagine it could cause conflict between the girls, I don't think they will make that decision.

    • It's an interesting question, Norway is certainly expanding their efforts into a number of new sports. So, that cannot help but to peal off a few more natural athletes. I know their training methods are kinda rocking the world in a number of summer endurance sports.  I can't really speak to they dynamics of their development program. Their men's nordic programs largely always seem to be ridiculously deep, overwhelmingly so the last decade or so.

    • But it seems to us that Norway wasn't as strong in Lillehammer 1994 as it was later? And not just in women's events. Generally, until 2000, Norway was much weaker in women's biathlon and women`s cross-country skiing. I remember in the 1990s, Italy's biggest rivals, Belmondo and di Centa, were Russia, when Norway somewhere further back and only in the classic style. Bente Martinsen- Skari, this is their first really strong girl in cross country, just about 2000, just like Liv Grete Skielbreid- Pioree in women`s biathlon at similar times.   Do you think, that is there any hope that thanks to the popularity of Haaland and football in general in Norway in recent years, winter sports such as biathlon or cross-country skiing will lose a little bit, becouse that?

    • This suggestion  @Dnl  made some months ago has also been implemented.   In each club, I have added a "Milano Cortina 2026 Qualification Tracker" record which takes the content from the Qualification by Nation tracker of that NOC.   People who see it can not edit the content, but it will be automatically updated once @Matej will update the record, and if you notice any mistake feel free to report it to Matej or in the record itself.   Club's admins can now edit the name of the section into their own language or change the spelling, I have used "Milano Cortina 2026 Qualification Tracker" for all the clubs. To do so, go inside the section, then click on "Manage Club"-"Edit this database Record" and change the name of the section:     By the way, if you are not a club's admin but you would like to edit things inside the club just let me know and I will give you the rights to do so. There can be more "admins" inside the club with the rights to edit and organize the sections, and that's not a role that require time or commitment.   Let's try to make all the clubs active during MiCo and when the LA28 qualifications will start!
