And Dzhyma, who finished second :raspberry:

I somehow skipped over her on the start list.  Sorry about that one.

I don't know what to think of this championship and if it correlates well with what we're going to get when winter arrives.

Romanov got 6th and 8th in sprint and pursuit, could've even medaled in the sprint if he didn't miss that one target, looked a lot better compared to some athletes that he always lost to last season and earlier, but I'm not sure if I should buy into the hype :d

He also praised the new B team coach from Belarus and said that he's feeling a lot stronger both physically and psychologically, as well as starting to shoot a bit faster.

I wonder how he'll look compared to Banys, Fomin and Mačkinė, all of whom are from the same junior batch.

I agree, with so many people not there, who knows.  But that being said, props to those who competed and won.

I always remember that Kaisa Makarainnen - at that time still half a cross-country skier - got her first ever wins in summer biathlon & then started to get winter wins as well.

Good point, so with that, Davidova will continue her rise!  I actually think that she is one of the top 7 or so that will challenge for the overall when Eckhoff eventually comes back to earth.

    • Suspect strongly that the Sultan of  is behind Global Wushu!     Another one is long distance & ultra triathlon.  There are literally millions being paid out in prize money to attract big name athletes from several sports, huge FTA TV coverage but seemingly no prospect of any profit.   And the classic is obstacle racing, which has effectively bought up the ownership of Modern Pentathlon.
    • apparently the Japanese organizers rejected OCA's nice request    now OCA is ordering them to do so in a not-so-nice language https://oca.asia/media/attachments/memberships_subcommittee/5/Decision_-_103rd_OCA_EB_Meeting_5ypY8y4.pdf   the last line is very interesting   I knew this for a while, for example that's why Jujjtsu is included in all of OCA events (despite being the worst sport to watch) but good to see OCA admit this. so with the corrupt OCA you can buy your way in. how much they paid the OCA officials for this ?   OK I know Qatar is financially supporting Padel (and UAE is paying everything for Jujitsu) but who is behind Teqball?  ! I don't think Thailand can do that.
