@heywoodudoes it look like the new COVID restrictions in :NED will affect the Olympic trials?

I'm not @heywoodu, but I can answer this too.

Professional sports can continue, but without spectators. So the trials will be held, just in an empty skating hall.

EDIT: Sorry, for some reason I totally missed the posts on this page and did not notice heywoodu had already replied.  :zip:

The :CAN Olympic trials will be held at the brand new “Centre de Glace” in Quebec City from December 27th to 31st. I believe this is the first time since 1984 that Calgary will not hold the Olympic trials.

…and the :CAN Olympic trials have been cancelled due to COVID. No word yet on the effect that will have on the team’s selection.

Patrick Roest skated a 3:35 on a 3.000m during a training competition in Heerenveen.

That looks like a world record to me, but I'm not sure.

Considering it's his second-fastest time ever, I don't think it is :p

Immediate advantage of Jumbo's 'super suits'? :d

Could be the suits, or maybe he's finally found a way to be in his best shape in the second half of the season. :mumble:

Or both, he wasn't the only fast Jumbo (Femke Kok in the 500m was flying as well) :d

We'll get to see from Sunday, I'm rather excited :hyper:
