What happens if a NOC has already two qualified athletes and they qualify another two different athletes through the World Cup?

I ask because I see that currently South Korea has already two athletes qualified through the 2023 World Champs and they have currently two athletes in the top places of two different apparatus. Why the athlete that competed in floor exercise is currently qualified and the one in the pommel horse is currently excluded? There is a sort of "priority" of the floor exercise?

EDIT: or the NOC of South Korea has to exclude one of them if the situation remains like that?

There is a priority but I can not find here which is which. Does someone have access to this document? thanks!

Edit: just found it

Could anyone please help me understanding how the tie-break works? Here is the document

For the 1st case... would we consider the ranks only with eligible athletes or overall rankings?

I had a stupid question on reallocation but as soon as I posted i realized hahaha

anyway... was checking the results of WC23 and if no Frenchmen gets the quota it will go to Leo SALADINO, right?

apparently the second quota in vault between IRN and AUS comes to this question, do they count the Pan-American quota winner in the World Cup ranking or not ?

:DOM Audrys Nin Reyes won a quota at the Pan-Am Games but from what I read that should be counted after the World Cup, which means he is still eligible for a World Cup quota and therefore his results should be counted in the ranking?  in this case :IRI Olfati qualifies. but if they remove him from the ranking, then :AUS Bacueti wins the quota

any thoughts ? :mumble:

It's a bit of a mess. The way the document is written makes it seems that each criteria should be given priority over the following criteria, but at the same time the document doesn't explicitly say so (and usually they do) which means the quotas are awarded chronologically without any priority.

In a perfect world I would say :DOM points should count at the World Cup, but I think it won't. I don't have the rankings available, would he qualify through the world cup if his points counted?

no this is his only World Cup participation, for him it's just a preparation tournament but his result matters a lot for those two other guys I mentioned.

:HKG Shek takes the first quota. that's for sure

if they count Reyes in the ranking, that will reduce 5pts from the Australian which means Olfati will take the quota.

    • Honestly, I think you guys have a much better chance of success here than we do. It's already difficult to maintain this sport, and with this ridiculous format this year, things have gotten even worse. Years and years participating in the elite and we haven't been able to evolve; it was just a waste.

    • Another weak result for our athletics team, which is typical; without Caio or Alisson, our chances of a medal in any high-level tournament are almost zero.   However, Juliana's result in the women's pole vault was a great 7th place. She is improving rapidly and still has a lot of room for growth.
