Katie Tannenbaum (ISV) won't be going neither if the WCH will be held in Russia and the Dukurs brothers have expressed doubts through their coach/dad (who won't go to Sochi) as well. This is picking up interest..

Another British slider Laura Deas is undecided, if there is anything suspicious in the upcoming report then she won't be going either

So, i'm not a skeleton expert but whats happened?

The bobsleigh and skeleton world championships will be held in Sochi this winter. More and more athletes are talking about boycotting it since the IOC said Russia shouldn't organize any major championships for now after the state-sponsored doping scandal (there apparently also is the pathetic, Middle Age-like homophobia that nobody with a decent mind would be ok with, but I think the doping thing is the biggest thing).

Not to be disrespectful, but I don't think many people care if someone like Kim Meylemans or Katie Tannenbaum boycotts. :p

Possibly, although we are talking about a top-10 athlete in the world then. But as you might see above, they are not the only names :p

Yarnold, Dukurs, Dukurs, Deas..those are big names.

    • yesterdays' results:  VS  26-31 Very good result for  to qualify to the main round, the team improved (but not to compete with the high level yet).  is a fast and rapid team but lacking the strength and good defense.    VS  29-29, great game from both giants,  finished the first half 16-11 but a great comeback from  in second half with special thanks to Alex Dujshebev who scored in the last 6 seconds and to Dujshebev junior (Daniel) who saved the long shot from the center to secure the draw in a thriller game. De Vargas (  GK) did one great moment in the game when he saved a penalty and the Ref gave the Swedish player Hampus a red card thinking it came straight to De Vargas face but the GK told the ref it came to his hand asking the ref to cancel the red card in a great moment  (at that time the score was 20-14 to Sweden)      VS  28-38, great game from the African side,  is a big question mark, in 1999 Wch they finished 8th and since then the team performance was keep going down (decent number of players switched nationalities),  was leading the game from start till the end and secure a historical qualify to the main round.    VS  18-23, is it a surprise? ..yes and no ..  should be the more favorable side but their performance even in the European qualification was not great..  beat  in European qualification with 1 goal difference in a very tough game.  was performing very well from the beginning finishing the 1st half 14-8,  GK get the credit for such brilliant result.
