Mark Stone voted MVP lol...what a stupidity to elect the awards before the gold medal match...if they did it after this final, it would certainly be Marko Anttila the real play-offs king in Bratislava or Kevin Lankinen with his 0 from Russians and only 1 from canadians in Bratislava

they should have both the RS and PO MVP, like in the National Leagues...:p

because if we look at the entire tornament, Stone is the clear MVP...unfortunately (for them) Canada didn't win the Gold medal and now we all think that one of the Finnish heroes should have won the prize...;)

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)

    • I read the Olympic qualification documents for weightlifting. A country can have the opportunity to send a maximum of 4 athletes in one gender, but the conditions are very strict.
    • world champion Jessica Schilder opened her season up with 19.78 in France.
    • wait! what???   so, there won't be specialized double sculls, but those boats would have to feature 2 single specialists if a Nation wants to enter 2 proper singles M+W??? tell me I misread the expalaination...
