that's a bad loss for the Czechs (no chance their pair can play the tournament...they will have to replace him with a reserve, if they have one...and nothing will be the same)...

He is apparently fully vaccinated and has no symptoms. He has to stay in self isolation until 29th. If tests will show him negative the 29th, (which is exactly the date of their 2nd match againnst :MEX ) the team will be able to compete. Now the team leaders are trying to postpone their opening match (the only one actually falling during the quarantine, 26th July against :LAT  ) to a later date.

Thats what I found in Czech medias

their Olympics is done and dusted...no matter if they got the virus or not, but right now no athlete can afford a 5 or more day-quarantine with no training and no chance of a good adjustment to the Japanese environment...

It depends on what event - for example an indoor event won’t take much adjustment to Japanese conditions.

He have two doses of vaccine. If he do a 2nd covid test tomorrow and he is negative, why he can't compete the 26th?

I can’t see them letting them move their match. But they can except fully vaccinated people who test positive from quarantine as they could easily pass it on. And with how unpopular the games are in Japan the government would never allow it.

    • Honestly, I think you guys have a much better chance of success here than we do. It's already difficult to maintain this sport, and with this ridiculous format this year, things have gotten even worse. Years and years participating in the elite and we haven't been able to evolve; it was just a waste.

She is improving rapidly and still has a lot of room for growth.
