Based off the master schedule on the app, the games will be live from 23:00-10:00 my time daily. There goes my sleep schedule.

I loved the European Games in 2015. I really don’t know why, I just did; so I can’t wait for these games.

No handball, basketball, volleyball? Merely  10 days of competition? Only half of the sports that were present during the 2015 European Games? I don't think many people will care for this competition :(

My favourite Volleyball position: LIBERO. You ask why? Look here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyIOarNAONk

So weird, Spain is not sending anyone to the road races/time trial. Don't know the reason why

They’ve also declined their athletics  quotas

Well, these sports all offer qualification to Tokyo 2020 (with the exception of Beach Soccer). The omission of volleyball, fencing, triathlon, and BMX did not make sense too me besides the fact that Belarus is not good in those events. I’m still invested in these games, though I will admit that Baku was much better.

Well and the European Championships didn’t help their cause. Talk about needless events.

I’ve watched over 300 hours of sports from those games. You just insulted 16 year old me. I probably wouldn’t be on this forum if it wasn’t for those games.

    • Weightlifting formula is more or less similar to 2020 which was considered terrible by everybody!    this is a tough sport, you can't be in your best shape for too many events. there will be risks of serious injuries this way. with these rules you need 5 good results to qualify. if you bomb out in an event to score a zero you are out of the Olympics unless you replace it with another event. which means most of these poor guys have to participate in 7-8 events (and not just 5) to make up for possible bomb outs.    most importantly if you get injured anytime during this period (almost 2 years) you are out of the Olympics! that's how Sohrab Moradi missed the Tokyo Olympics despite breaking the WR during the qualification period. you can miss the Olympics in 2028 if you get injured late 2026 !  Karlos Nasar couldn't win the Olympic title if we had these rules in 2024   I understand 2024 qualification formula wasn't great either, it had its own flaws but this one is much worse for threatening athletes' health.

    • Off to Milan for the 145th session of the International Olympic Committee. Although the agenda has not been published yet, there shouldn’t be any major items over these two days, apart from the election of a member of the IOC Executive Board. This will be the eighth time the session is held in Italy, the last one being during the Turin 2006 Olympic Games.
