  3. This is probably good news for the whole team.
  4. Martin Fehérváry is 6th reinforcement from NHL for Team , Sadly Tampa Bay did not let Erik Černák (already played the Play-Off injured)
  5. Rowing Canada's CEO has resigned https://sirc.ca/news/rca-leadership-update/
  6. Amelie Morgan, apparently has re-retired Came back to the elite squad last year, but something has gone wrong, although her mother confirmed it is not linked to the shock resignation of the Women' Coach today, just days before the Europeans. Gadirova, Gadirova, Onedine and now Morgan, with Kinsella not entirely health. They've also lost Fragapane and Ellie Downie definitively in this cycle. Team GB's men are in decent nick, but the women are now in absolute tatters.
  7. Sri Lanka was only entered in the men’s 4x400m and Australia were already entered in that. Portugal and Spain were already entered in the women’s and mixed respectively too. The mixed and women’s 400 were not filled (30 and 27 nations entered)
  8. Daniele Garozzo (fencing) https://www.instagram.com/p/C6Y4uVVtksB/?igsh=b3UzcnJ4ZjZoaGNi 2x Olympic medalist in men’s foil, winning gold in Rio and silver in Tokyo.
  9. Hey guys, for those, who are planning to visit the games and the Olympic houses, there are currently confirmed 24 Olympic houses and maybe more to come. I have put all of them into the google maps so you can use it if you travel around. Here is the link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/vZ1zyS8wDjumEgPZ7 Surprisingly, there are some countries coming with the Olympic house ideas for the first time or at least I don't remember seeing them at the previous games: It is an amazing idea to let the fans and athletes celebrate, share the culture, history, cuisine, etc. Hoping there will be more countries opening their Olympic houses for public. Hopefully counting around 30.

  12. US transit visa is required for foreign nationals except for Canada and Bermuda citizens, if the flight has a layover at US. This is required even if the person is not intending to leave the airport.
  13. Lots of changes to the Indian squad, as Amit Panghal makes a comeback: Men: Amit Panghal (51kg), Sachin Siwach Jr. (57kg), Abhinash Jamwal (63.5kg), Nishant Dev (71kg), Abhimanyu Loura (80kg), Sanjeet (92kg), Narender Berwal (+92kg); Women: Ankushita Boro (60kg), Arundhati Choudhary (66kg)
  14. Yup. We're talking about the 9th highest funded sport currently, our 4th most successful sport in Tokyo, and GBR's 6th most successful sport in terms of total medals won at all Olympics. It's just not remotely feasible that it would go from where it is down to nothing.
  15. Not a snowballs chance of that. Funding is forward looking, and a program that has consistently provided medals is not going to be starved for one poor showing - e.g. Se Rowing which had a dreadful time in tokyo, or Swimming in 2012. Funding was cut, a bit, but not a chance it would go completely or even close. At absolute worst there would be a review of the cycle - I mean, come on, have people forgotten when GB sent ONE BOXER to the Games?
  16. Yesterday
  17. I would very much doubt that. Cuts, sure. But I can't see a situation where Boxing goes from its current level of funding to zero.
  18. Основні саме ці старти, але сьогодні глянемо на гімнасток, раптом якась нова сенсація з'явиться + доволі цікаві етапи Гранпрі з фехтування для формування сіток на ОІ
  19. African champs 2024 , after day2
  20. Sinner withdraws from the tournament due to his hip injury. Auger-Aliassime through to his first career clay-court Masters 1000 semifinal, and a first since Paris in 2022.
  21. Next stop of the team is in Salt Lake City this weekend with a double header of Speed and Boulder world Cup competitions. Good to see GB representation in the speed events with Matthew Fall competing. He competed at the European Olympic qualifier last year and finished 22nd. He didn't compete much last year and is yet to break into the top-20 in a competition. Paris bound Toby Roberts heads up the team for the Boulder competition. He will be joined by Dayan Akhtar. Roberts will be aiming to improve on his 4th place finish at Keqiao last month. James Pope and Max Milne were originally registered to compete, but it looks like they have withdrawn - probably to focus on their prep for the OQS which kicks off in Shanghai the following week. On the women's side, two new names in the frame - Lucy Garlick and Eugenie Lee. 17 year-old Garlick recently won a European Youth Cup event, but this will be just her 2nd Boulder World Cup event. Can't find any previous results for Lee. Like Pope and Milne, Erin McNiece and Molly Thompson-Smith have chosen not to compete in Salt Lake City as they continue their preparations for the OQS.
  22. With that, will compete in the women’s 4x400m relay, in the men’s 4x400m relay, and in the mixed 4x400m relay.
  23. After first rehearsals of both semifinals I think that those countries will qualify Semi 1 Semi 2 And those are which I wanted to see as qualified Semi 1 Semi 2

  27. Sri Lanka will not compete as their visas were delayed by the USA embassy in Colombo
