This has been, more than others, a really bad year, when it comes to losing senior iconic movie and TV people.

Only this year we lost Kirk Douglas, Ennio Morricone, Max von Sydow, Olivia de Havilland, Carl Reiner, Joel Schumacher, Brian Dennehy, James Lipton, Fred Willard, Jerry Stiller, Regis Philbin. And there are still 4 months left.

It won't ever be less, since there are simply more and more famous people and so more and more famous people die. I had never heard of half these people by the way, including Diana Rigg (and yes, I've seen Game of Thrones entirely, twice).

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Yeah, I imagine The Avengers are usually linked to modern superhero movies but British crime/spy shows of the 60s/70s were a lot better than these computer-generated gimmicks. And I suppose you didn't follow the James Bond franchise either, after all Diana Rigg was like the only woman character who married Bond during its run. I also remember her from 'Evil Under the Sun' - the 1982 Ustinov version.

The one Bond movie I saw was way too much of a generic boring action movie to be interested in watching any more.

Which one was it?

The one with the invisible car drifting on ice. Die Another Day I think that is?

Much like Star Wars/Trek I just never got the appeal of the series.
