Winner of the Nations Cup Final will qualify for the Paris Olympics.

So far, :UAE :KSA have qualified for the Final via the Middle East qualifier.

North American League is in progress. Top 2 will qualify. :USA got eliminated at the first event in Mexico. This likely means no Final for them, unless :CAN :MEX allow it with their own elimination at the other qualifier.

:UZB is leading the Euroasian League.

European Leagues are yet to start.

:MEX :CAN have qualified for the Nations Cup Finals through the North American and Caribbean League.

Actually not great news for the region. They will be hoping :USA qualifies for Paris at the World Championships this year. They no longer have the 2022 Nations Cup as a potential fallback, so should they fail in Herning this Summer, then it likely all comes down to the Pan Ams next year, and that's just terrible news for one of :BRA :CAN :MEX ...

The United States has a great chance at qualifying via the World Championships, but should they fail, I'd give :BRA :CAN :MEX a chance at the 2023 Nations Cup (assuming none of them qualifies at the World Championships/Nations Cup themselves). Groups A and B will probably have 9-10 teams qualified by then (I think only Australia can take a World quota if not someone from the Americas) so the quality level will be lower. Of course someone good from Europe could be unlucky and mess things up for us.

Qualifiers for the Nations Cup Final:

Europe Division 1 - :FRA :NED :GER :IRL :SUI :BEL :GBR

Middle East - :KSA :JOR (:UAE withdrew)

North, Central America & Caribbean - :MEX :CAN

South America - :BRA :ARG

Africa - :EGY

Asia / Australasia - :AUS :JPN

Eurasia - :UZB

Host Nation - :ESP (not eligible for Olympic qualification ! )

Some nations are yet to confirm their participation (more info here). Curiously, Uzbekistan has confirmed it.

Kudos to FEI for making sure the host is not eligible for Olympic qualification (unless they earn their qualification outright, which Spain did not).

Right now, I'd say the quota place will be contested between :BEL :BRA :SUI, but maybe :CAN can grab it too.

Update:

:KSA Saudi Arabia withdrew too. Since there are no other options from the Middle East, the FEI has offered the starting place to :NOR Norway.

Everyone but JOR/NOR/ESP has confirmed their participation so far...

On one of the days that enters the history of Italian sport by right, horse riding wanted to make its contribution. In Warsaw, Italy won access to the next Nations Cup (on a path that is honestly very boring, but at least the streaming was free)
