Athletics, men's Shot Put...I don't think that there's any doubt about :USA Ryan Crouser's superiority in this discipline...

despite we have a lot of great putters, some of them real "winners" (like Majewski), some others more "big performers" than "competition killers" (like Randy Barnes or Ulf Timmermann), Crouser have both the killer instinct and the big put in his arms...

therefore, he's my pick...

Swimming, Men's 400 IM...here I have a bit of an internal conflict between Tamas Darnyi's class and :USA Michael Phelps' strenght and durability, but in the end I have to opt for the great American...

Shooting, women's Air Rifle...here I go with :POL Renata Mauer for the same reason I picked Phelps over Darnyi in swimming...

Shooting, men's Air Pistol...this is quite a no brainer...despite some controversial fails (the most dramatic of them all, the Atlanta 1996 final), :CHN Wang Yifu is "the shooter" when it comes down to the Air Pistol...

Cycling, women's Time Trial...no doubts also here...:NED Leontien Van Moorsel was and will always be the queen of the discipline in my mind and in my heart...

I feel like in theory :NED Annemiek van Vleuten won the time trial with more and better training and more competition, but I just had to vote for :NED Leontien van Moorsel. Her incredible talent and impact is still greater to me.

    • I hope they can kick teqball and convince the North Koreans to play the real deal  (very unlikely, I know(   Obstacle racing on the other hand, it should be a compulsory sport of the ABG
    • Lasting 2 Weeks and including 24 sports    I bet Beach Sepaktakraw(including their favourite Chinlone, Hoop), Water Skiing, Arnis, Floorball, Wushu, Weightlifting, Taekwondo, Underwater Hockey, Boxing and a few martial arts (Kickboxing/Muay Thai etc)   Obstacle Racing also should make the cut.
    • Oops. I must have misunderstood. I could have sworn I saw her jogging in a field of other men. I assumed she had caught up to some of the slower men. (I admittedly wasn't watching closely.)
    • The women started earlier, it was a race without any men participating.
    • Looking forward to this competition starting tomorrow! Will be nice to see some other countries participate. USA women start with Namibia tomorrow.
    • This came out on the official website yesterday. Updated list of events and competition schedules in Japanese.   Padel and Teqball are on the schedules. Looks like two events for Padel and five for Teqball.   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会競技プログラム.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会デイリースケジュール.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会セッションスケジュール.pdf   On the sports programme PDF, Padel is #25 and Teqball is #38.
    • looks like the agreement is the international federations are in fact hosting the event, not the AG organizers, so everything is up to them to make it happen.   Teqball is now confirmed to have 5 events (singles and doubles) does it mean easy 5 gold medals for Thailand ?   Padel is not 100% confirmed yet. I assume there are still talks ongoing between the IF and the Japanese organizers.
    • I feel like this year's Eurovision is more wide open than ever 😂   There isn't a clear favorite, and that makes everything more exciting. Finland is looking strong, sure, but Ukraine always knows how to surprise people and connect with them. I was checking out the odds a bit, and I was struck by how quickly they're rising.   By the way, I found a site that compares the odds pretty clearly: https://casasdeapuestaseurovision.com/   It’s nothing special, but it gives you an idea of how things are shaping up before the semifinals. Although we all know how this goes… at Eurovision, everything can change in a matter of minutes
