  1. They have an updated medal table here. Don't know why Peru still is 9th though...
  2. In an ideal world it shouldn't be this way, but maybe you're putting way too much importance in an event that nobody* in Brazil seems to care about, not even the federation which always have focused on show jumping. The team would probably finish last, and I doubt any improvement would come from this participation. It's a sad situation nonetheless.
  3. The two highest profile films from the animated short list are available to watch. Pixar's Kitbull is quite good and interesting looking (maybe the front runner?). Hair Love is algo good, even if the animation isn't particularly original. I'm very interested in "He Can't Live without Cosmos", which I think it's a sequel (?) to the brilliant "We Can't Live without Cosmos".
  4. This list is too eurocentric. No latin american representation saddens me. Anyway, the one asian candidate should win, and deservedly so (although I'm yet to see Pain and Glory, which many say it's the best Almodovar in many years).
  5. Such a lame excuse, especially after seeing the video...
  6. As our esteemed president usually says, "great day!"

  10. Brazil got an easy group... and yet ultimately won't qualify
  11. Congratulations @Wumo and @Agger for the great contest, and @heywoodu for the much deserved win. Thank you for the votes for the brazilian entry. It's not the style we usually go for (MPB, that is), but me and @titicow thought that was the perfect song to remember Rodrigo, who in addition of being a great friend of ours, helped us quite a few times in the selection of the songs for the TISC in the old forum. Sadly he couldn't participate at the Brazil edition last year (the last one he was interested in), but I'll never forget the conversations we had for the old contests when we used to have 4 or 5 different users voting. Good times those were...
  12. Brazil had a much harder time vs Argentina to win the men's quota. I'm starting to think that Tsuboi won't be at the Olympics since he lost many decisive matches this year. Although, let's be honest, it doesn't matter that much since Calderano is the only one that can win a match in Singles next year.
  13. Much to my surprise, Brazil easily won the women's quota vs Puerto Rico.
  14. By now I've lost count of how many brazilian athletes complained about dubious judging/decisions. The one that probably was the most vocal about it is Caio Bonfim, who received a direct red card 20m away from the finish line in the 20km race walk:

  16. Even if most people think like that, it shouldn't be. But of course I'm fully aware that I'm on the outside when it comes to Paralympic events since I follow them more than other sports fans. Even though I don't agree with some of your thoughts, I wish there was some changes in the Paralympic programme. I don't know exactly how it's possible, but less events would make the Games more exciting to watch.
  17. That is great and all, but in reality it seems like they couldn't waste some time designing another logo, which makes the Paralympics an afterthought.
  18. Netflix's Unbelievable is unbelievably good.
  19. I just wish they could have done something different for the Paralympic logo instead of using the same...
  20. Teams that will represent Brazil in Tokyo: Men's: Alison/Álvaro Filho and Evandro/Bruno Schmidt Women's: Ágatha/Duda and Ana Patrícia/Rebecca In Men's, 3/4 athletes that were in Rio will return do the Games (Álvaro is the only one who didn't participate previously). Current champions Alison and Bruno are back, although in different teams. In Women's, only Ágatha (silver in Rio) is an olympic athlete. Curiously enough, she was "rejected" by her partner Barbara who allegedly thought Ágatha would be too old to play in Tokyo. Likewise, Evandro was rejected by his partner André after the World title in 2017, because André thought he would stand a better chance of Olympic qualification with another player. Now both Barbara and André will watch the Olympics at home
