new twist... According to some rumors, from federation, Latvia is pretty confident to being choosen to host the wole tournament alone. Apparently, according to a couple of their officials, yesterday the IIHF council was really close to select Riga as the only host of the tournament. Fasel wanted the tournament to be moved to Bratislava, but the majority of the council is more inclined in favor of Riga. Mainly after receiving informations and guarantee from the Latvian governement to cover all costs in converting the Olimpic Sports center in Riga which is located only a couple of meters from the other stadium Riga Arena. The IIHF delegation is even considered to move by tomorrow to Riga to clarify last technical details.

Jozef Vengloš a legend of SVK and TCH football passed away tonight at 85. RIP Legend.. He was the first coach of Slovak NT after the independence. He was the coach of the Czechoslovak NT which won the 1976 European championships in Belgrade and won bronze at the 1980 EURO in Italy. in 1972 he was the coach of the U23 European champions. Was also the coach of the last Czechoslovak NT at the World Cup in 1990 in Italy and led the team to the quarterfinals. He qualified the former country to 2 World Cups (1982 & 1990) First ever coach born outside of or being a manager of an English premier league team. Aston Villa from 1991. Was also coach of Australia (he was only 33 years old), Oman and Malaysia. Known in Gb as "Doctor Joe" never played for Czechoslovakia at seniors level because of a serious injury when he was part of the Olympic selection of the country. FIFA awarded him the Order of Merit
