  1. which bring us to the same question again then. If for example decline its second M quota will it be reallocated via ranking to the highest NOC with only 1 qualified (2nd added quota) or first non qualified NOC in the ranking ?
  2. so, as expected our NOC is wrong then https://www.olympic.sk/clanok/horskym-cyklistom-tesne-usiel-priamy-postup-do-tokia-chybalo-21-bodov-ci-3-sekundy-na-ms I had doubts about them being correct, so that was why I asked, now I know. It is srange however that even NOCs does not know the rules properly lol
  3. Just passing here to mention the new absolute NR of volleyball. Our Womens National Team somehow jumped into the 25th place in the world FIVB ranking. Nothing mega impressive or noteworthy you may say, however it is the highest rank of any SVK volleyball NT ever mens or women. Until now the NR was the Mens 26th place in January 2012 & August 2017. So a bit worth to be mentioned for the girls, btw both our teams managed to qualify for the EURO this year, the W team by winning all matches and losing only 1 single set.
  4. on the other hand, I have a question for a more professional observers of this qualification system. If one of the countries for some reason or just by pure infinite goodness suddenly decides not to use its second mens quota (for example I do not know, let say Brazil who has 2 M quotas). who will then receive the reallocation ? the first country in the ranking with only one qualified will get an additional 2nd quota ( ) or it will be for the first nonqualified country yet ( ) ? Ďakujem in advance
  5. yeah, welcome to our hilarious and sad club at the same time. I said it many times we need to change the continent. can I count on you to sign my petition ?
  6. So not only Dascalu eliminated us from the world cup ranking by 21 points in the very last race, but I just read that we also lost the World Championship quota to by 3 seconds what a perfectly executed qualification strategy by our MTB band. First under the line in both qualifiers paths. definitely hard to find better

  10. The first view of the venue Riga Olympics center, a quckly converted football stadium for the hockey rink. quicklly built stands, ice in a disastrous state, but especially the teams dressing rooms ! oh my...It looks like some boxes in an exhibition center. unworthy for a WCh....
  11. Also the 2nd PCR testing showed no case in our team, so the guys were allowed to have their first training this evening. According to our team the ice is in disastrous condition though well, they have two days to fix it.. however the coaches revealed the composition of first 2 lines. 1st line : Cehlárik - Hrivík - Lantoši 2nd line: Skalický - Krištof - Pospíšil

  15. will have to do without a coach. Pete Russell decided not to travel to Riga and preferred to stay at home with his family. The team will be led by his assistants Adam Keefe and Corey Neilson. Russell coached the German second-league Freiburg this season at the club level, returned to Britain after the recent end of the season in Germany and decided to stay at home for family reasons. "My family has consistently supported me throughout my career. But now I haven't been with my wife and daughter for nine months, which is a very long time. It would be difficult to leave them again after two days," Russell told the British Hockey Association website. "I talked about the whole situation with the leadership of the national team and they supported me in my decision. It was not easy, the British national team means a lot to me. But Adam and Corey are top coaches and they will definitely be able to lead the team well at the championship." GB Hockey federation must be the best Employer on earth

  21. Yeah, I was just about to write you this Remember folks, there no draw in IIHF world Championship program, every Preliminary Round match that finish by a draw after 60 minutes continue in a 5 minutes Sudden-death Overtime (first scored goal end the match) if there no goal in the overtime, the match continue in a penalty shoot-out session, here the winning team score only 1 goal, even if the PSO session finish for example 3-1 or 2-1 the Final result of PSO will be 1-0. So if a match end let say 2-2 after regulation time and no goal will be scored during the Overtime, the final score of the match after the penalties will be 3-2 (No matter of how many penalties will be scored during the PSO session itself)
