  1. 2 members of our Athletics team, which is actually training and preparing at the training camp in the city of Urayasu north of Tokyo, had to go to the mandatory 14-day quarantine. This is due to the fact that they were identified as a possible close contact of one infected person on the plane that flew to Japan. "It's nothing serious, it's just a precaution. Both quarantines are valid from the 17th and will last until July 30, "said the head of the Slovak athletics team at the Tokyo Olympics and SAZ chief coach Martin Pupiš, noting that the names of quarantined persons cannot be disclosed without their consent as part of personal data protection. "Quarantine measures apply to both of them - they must be completely self-isolated from others, they must not meet anyone, but they can continue to train when the other members of the team are not in the stadium. Also, given that both people have been vaccinated and have had six negative PCR tests in a short time, the measures are more lenient. " The management of our athletics part was informed that two of its members were possible close contact of one infected person travelling by same plane, from the "covid" office of the management of the city of Urayasu, also the management of the entire Slovak Olympic team in the Olympic village in Tokyo was also informed about the situation. https://www.olympic.sk/clanok/dvaja-clenovia-atletickej-casti-slovenskej-vypravy-na-predolympijskom-kempe-v-urajasu-museli

  14. Some nice touch from our NOC. Since during this "pandemic" olympics the athletes will not have their families and loved ones with them in Tokyo, our NOC decided to send to everyone of the 41 qualified Slovak athletes 2 bracelets with national motifs (one blue and one red). They have to take with them one to Tokyo and wear it during their competitions and stay in Japan and to give the second one to their most loved one back at home (mom, dad, wife, husband, boy/girlfriend, children or even friend etc..). So they may be connected by a kind of magical bond during their competition even in the distant Japan
