  1. I did not have the chance to watch it live today, only some highlights in my TV now, but I have to say that this whole idea about the venue at the Panathenaic Stadium works well, I was expecting maybe more spectators, but the commentators said that the atmosphere was still excellent.
  2. Miroslava Hocková after the Junior World title last month, won today the European Junior silver Like Seriously, Women´s Skeet this year World Champion (Danka Barteková) European Champion (Danka Barteková) Junior World Champion (Miroslava Hocková) Junior European vice-Champion (Miroslava Hocková) + already secured maximum possible 2 quotas for Paris (Danka Barteková and Miroslava´s older sister Vanesa Hocková) mind blowing
  3. Makoev that defeat to will probably cost him the Olympics, as there only 5 more spots left eventually for europeans (3 of them will be awarded at world qualifying Tournament though) and many good european wrestlers will fight for them. His best chance was here, oh well... it is how it is, what can we do.. We still have qualified only in 2 sports (Shooting and Athletics), clearly heading for the lowest participating record, Gonna be hard to qualify even 20 athletes to the games this time
  4. 4 Stages 4 Wins for Soudal/Quick-Step. Tim Merlier won the stage today (his 2nd here), a 150km flat from Prievidza to Nitra in the peloton sprint. Stage 4 Top 10 Jerseys after Stage 4 GC : Remi Cavagna (FRA, Soudal-QuickStep) Point Competition : Cavagna KOM : Milan Vader (NED, Jumbo-Visma) U23 : Colby Simmons (USA, Jumbo-Visma) Best SVK Jersey: Lukáš Kubiš (Dukla Banská Bystrica)

  6. Yeah, the coverage is terrible, I assume they did not find an agreement with the public TV (which was expected to cover the entire race, it was even in the TV schedule 2 days before the start), so there no professional broadcast of the race, sadly. The only one is the stream of the race organizers on their youtube channel, which is, yeah at absolute hobby-amateurish level I would say (only last 20km or so... and limited cameras..., so yes, definitely not-watchable).
  7. Hilly Stage 3 from Ružomberok to Martin (172km) ended by another win for Soudal/Quick-Step 3/3 so far for them, this time Andrea Bagioli won the sprint of a 4 riders group ahead of Gazzoli, Kung and Cavagna (leader of the GC) Lukáš Kubiš brought the rest of the group and undressed Štoček from the best rider jersey Stage 3 Top 10 Jerseys after Stage 3 GC : Remi Cavagna (FRA, Soudal-QuickStep) Point Competition : Cavagna KOM : Milan Vader (NED, Jumbo-Visma) U23 : Colby Simmons (USA, Jumbo-Visma) Best SVK Jersey: Lukáš Kubiš (Dukla Banská Bystrica)
  8. Damn it, we were so close of the Final well, at least in Italy they thought so ... filled a protest after wrong flag used at EuroVolley match The Slovenian Volleyball Federation addressed a protest letter to the European Volleyball Confederation after the Slovak flag was used instead of the Slovenian one at Thursday's EuroVolley semi-final match between Slovenia and Poland. The basis for this is the incorrect use of the flag during Thursday’s semi-final match of the European Championship between Slovenia and Poland in the PalaLottomatica arena. The organizers used the Slovak flag instead of the Slovenian flag on the LED billboards, the LED cube and in the official competition bulletin. This confused the management of the Slovenian national team all the more because it was not the first time this had happened. “This is not the first such behavior by the organizers of the biggest competitions under the auspices of the European Volleyball Confederation, at OZS we expect an apology from the organizers, the Italian Volleyball Federation and the European Volleyball Confederation, and at the same time we request the European Volleyball Confederation to tighten control over the organizers of the competitions and thus avoid such incidents in the future situations,” announced the Slovenian Federation.
  9. Right now, It´s a complete mess. I mean, at one point it start to be completely ridiculous, Different National federations complain about lack of information from IIHF (and if there sometimes, they are always brief, often contradictory) , like seriously, we reach a point when literally no one knows if he have to play, if he will play at all, when he will play... and it will be like this until March, until the IIHF definitively resolves the issue of Russia and Belarus. Last info (IIHF again did Not explain anything, just posted this on its official Events Calendar document https://stats.iihf.com/Hydra/IIHF_Calendar_of_Events.pdf), that the 1st round was apparently cancelled just like that.. no idea why. Complete mess
  10. Yesterday, the exactly 100 years of Basketball in Czechia/Slovakia were celebrated. And it was symbolically a vs 3x3 game played, at the border crossing Lazy pod Makytou (SK) / Čertov – Kohútka (CZ)
  11. yep 5 quotas per gender are reserved at the World Qualifiers Series
  12. Raining cats and dogs during the entire today´s stage. Horrible weather accompanied the riders from Prešov to Poprad. Despite several attacks the winner was decided in a bunch sprint. And just like yesterday again it is a win for Soudal/Quick-step, this time Tim Merlier, who else won the sprint under the Tatras ahead of Cees Bol and Colby Simmons. Stage 2 (Prešov-Poprad, 145km Hilly) Top 10 Jerseys after Stage 2 GC : Remi Cavagna (FRA, Soudal-QuickStep) Point Competition : Cavagna KOM : Milan Vader (NED, Jumbo-Visma) U23 : Colby Simmons (USA, Jumbo-Visma) Best SVK Jersey: Matúš Štoček (ATT Investments) Remi Cavagna still in Yellow with confortable margin
  13. Remi Cavagna won 1st stage after an impressive last 50km solo attack, in which he literally destroyed the competition, Mulu Hailemichael finished 2nd far behind, Asgreen brought the chase group in 3rd, Štoček was the first Slovak crossing the line today shortly before the peloton arrived. Stage 1 (Košice-Košice, 174km Flat) Jerseys after Stage 1 GC : Remi Cavagna (FRA, Soudal-QuickStep) Point Competition : Cavagna KOM : Milan Vader (NED, Jumbo-Visma) U23 : Roman Yermakov (RUS, Friuli ASD) Best SVK Jersey: Matúš Štoček (ATT Investments) 2nd stage tomorrow from Prešov to Poprad, Heading to the Tatras
  14. Despite not a lot of people attended the ceremony, it still was an awesome experience to watch guys like Thibaut Pinot, Stefan Kung or Kasper Asgreen live waving towards me Also the night scenery was special too
  15. Finally back at Zero points ! And now let start the qualifiers Felix
  16. Interesting. Did not notice any news about this in NOC´s site, where they always daily mention every single visit or business trip of the Mr. President and his Mr. Secretery General . So, who knows what that mean and wheteher something is being cooked ? Honestly I wouldn´t be surprised at all if we showed interest in organizing the winter universiade, for example. The winter version of the Universiade is quite popular in our country, moreover, we have experience in hosting it and our venues / infrastructures are sufficient for this level of competitions.
  17. Tonight 19:15 is the team presentation at the main street. Already super excited, never been at a cycling team presentation personally before and tomorrow 1st stage with start and finish in Košice, a bit flat stage, but looking forward to it too
  18. The mega-prestigious Tour de Slovaquie will start on Wednesday in Košice Start List have some interesting names https://www.okoloslovenska.com/en/teams-startlist Especially the FdJ squad is quite surprising
  19. Oh man, I knew they will remove the video because of their copyrights policy .. So here anothe link for that new Slovak national record goal https://zebra.cdnja.co/v/mj/MJA7q.mp4?token=2bkFgpA_VRM6DBogO7TunA&expires=1694470742
  20. Sebastian Cabala finished 11th in the -81kg which is the best result since the Tešovič era of the late 90s/early 00s. Great result for us, obviously we can not expect/ask more. Plus he is still very young, so it is even better.
  21. Dávid Hancko scored tonight the fastest goal in football NT history. Time of play 0:09, gonna be hard to beat this record
