Gymnastics isn’t a sport that needs to depend on military founding or backup jobs. It’s a shame there will only be six countries and only men. Though women’s gymnastics probably wouldn’t improve a militaries image.

I’m with @konig, the quality seems lower over all. It’s feel like a lot less effort is being put into this edition by everyone. Though given the “conditions” the Danish are doing well.

Have been doing a lot of planning with my Reddit Olympics associates as of late. My schedule is really starting to take shape. We’ll be in Tokyo from July 23 to August 3. We got a very nice priced Airbnb to stay in. Our flights are free thanks to flier miles. Our flight there will happen during the opening ceremony I believe, so hopefully I can catch it mid-flight. The layover in Vienna is still unplanned, mostly because our group is just freaking busy right now. I’ve decided to get ahead and post my tentative event schedule below. No, that was more a joke I guess? Historical point of relevance maybe? I know we have incels, white supremacy, general racists, quite racists, and complicit racists in the US. The difference is that in the last century we’ve tirelessly worked towards stomping that out. Obviously it hasn’t worked in some places, and the prevalence of easily available programs from the likes of Info Wars, Ben Shapiro, etc. hasn’t helped, but we’ve put in quite a bit more effort than Bulgaria I’d say.

No that’s not who I was talking about. There was a different 18 year old who made the final (and actually didn’t look good after the first wall, I think she was too tired from yesterday’s efforts). Well Climbing is much like Parkour/Freerunning. Think of Sport Climbing as Freerunning and of Natural Climbing as Parkour. Naturalists only use a gym every so often to get some strength training or form work in. A lot time they’ll have interviews there too, just because they can mess around during the interview. Sport Climbers are generally younger, and better at dynamic movement. A lot of them don’t try Natural Climbing until they’re a long way into their career. They tend to spend almost every day in the gym, and see Natural Climbing is a fun little challenge to try here and there. Now, there are expectations, Adam Ondra for instance. Adam excels at both to point where Reddit Climbing (probably the best online climbing community (that I know of)) is jealous of him. I’d say the majority of climbers (and mountaineers) stick to their own lane.

Just like to point out, that when I go to international sporting events. I tend to cheer on all athletes in a positive manner. I sure would’ve hated it if someone yelled out highly derogatory things at me when I was a track runner/jumper. I don’t even really boo athletes. Only in extreme cases where there’s been bad behavior or cheating from athlete would I do it. It’s not acceptable the way the fans conducted themselves today, on purpose, and the international sports community should not tolerate it. This has been a huge problem, especially in Eastern Europe and soccer for years. It’s about time someone takes action.

As a climber I prefer lead/route climbing as well. However, as spectator I very much prefer boulder.

Now schedule for streaming. They just switch to different events when they feel like it. Beach Wrestling and Skateboard will be next most likely.
