  1. I’ll post the finals results for you (in proper thread of course)
  2. No I cannot. It sure was fun well it lasted though I get it. I don’t like it, but I totally get it. I just think there’s a difference between “Yeah were Polish, we are proud to be Polish, everything is cool when your Polish, let’s all get laid”, and “We’re Polish and fuck anyone who isn’t, white Poles are superior, long live white Poland”. My Spanish (Español) would be much, much better in that case . I don’t actually think conservatism is all bad, the same way I don’t think democratic socialism is all good. I think they’re positive things gained from conservatism. However, I think conservatism can easily lead people to make decisions not based in reason, and against the general welfare (as can socialism, but I see it more in conservatism).
  3. Just for you my special little Dutch boy, I’ll keep it to under 10 pages. Now, that’s a holiday deal if I’ve ever seen one.
  4. I’ve had this song stuck in my head from a google ad all week. I actually quite like the song. Definitely doesn’t underline the true meaning of Christmas, but it’s a fun song nonetheless.
  5. Sure, I’ll come over to console you after a devastating loss. It’s the least I could really. (Disclaimer: All statements are meant as jokes. I watch the election by myself. I work like a madman working to find the most updated primary sources for 6 hours. It’s fun, don’t tell me otherwise. Yeah for stats and politics!)
  6. Nah, improper use of the term. Example: Boomer: The American economy is doing better than ever! Me: scrapes my two pennies I get for working a 8 hour job at McDonalds together. “Ok, boomer”
  7. Just let me have this for night pretty please
  8. Trump won because he was the fresher of two shits
  9. Well I haven’t done the first too, and don’t plan too. The third didn’t occupy much of time, and to be honest that relationship wasn’t healthy. The only other girl I wanted to be with (since 2nd grade, who I still have feelings for to this day) dates pretty much every guy besides me. My generation is woke, what can I say. It’s also worth pointing out that I hung out with mostly “nerds”, and a fewer of the non-jock athletes. Most social science “peeps” are liberal. I think the subject matter is more suited to people that are open minded. However, there are plenty of conservatives in social science too. You’ll also find that more university graduates tend to identify as liberal rather than conservative. Conservatism is politics of fear and nationalism, and I think an education can be preventive towards those feelings. I also want to be perfectly clear, people experiences generally shaped their political affiliation more than anything else. What I’m saying is just stereotypes, and I am by no means trying to say that one side is right or wrong. I’m just offering an explanation for why social science majors tend to be more liberal. I respect your opinion, and we actually seem to have some agreements here. I would add that their are people in my generation who do know how to have genuine communication and debate. On this forum, I’m not a good example of that because I don’t have to worry about posting some of my more “extreme” viewpoints, since there isn’t really any actual consequences for that. I also do a poor job of being a good debater since I seem to be the only vocal liberal around here (maybe besides @Agger or @ofan, but I tend to debate/argue much more than they do).
  10. Democracy lost. Free and fair elections are one of the biggest principles of democracy; Trump tried to fix them twice.
  11. Never said Antifa were the true patriots, nor would I defend the majority of their actions. The same goes for the other groups you mentioned. You also clearly don’t know what a Democratic Socialist is (and neither does the majority of DSA, hence why I’m changing my affiliation in 2020). I believe in strengthening our democracy, and I believe in pursuing socialist policies. However, it is not my wish to have a dictator or one party in power. I not afraid to label my self a Democratic Socialist, I where it as a badge of honor to show people that I true care about everyone.
  12. Now had you actually taken the time to read the articles of impeachment, you’d know that bribery is the main charge under the article concerning abuse of power. Oh no! A sick misspelled burn. Oh, whatever shall I do ?. Also, it takes Fascist supporter to know one. The United States government is set up on a bicameral system where no house is more important than the other. The Senate may carry more weight, but the founding fathers set up the House of Representatives to be the truest voice of the American people. Yes, the true patriots are celebrating tonight.
  13. The whole water/wet thing was a big debate in my generation in high school. My response was meant to be more of a light hearted jab. Also, to be fair. You always seem to forget you’re talking to someone who’s majoring in communications studies, with a potential minor in psychology, and with avid interests in human philosophy and nature, geography, and political theory.
  14. Found this tweet highly enjoyable.
  15. You are excused. Respecting the American Constitution, Protecting Our Country From Tyranny, Holding Those In Power Accountable, or maybe Impeaching an Asshole The beauty of the broken electoral college I guess.
  16. By that comparison sure, but Trump has done way worse in my opinion. Technically we didn’t elect Trump to office by a margin of 3.5 million votes. Also, water both is and isn’t wet. Humans created the word wet to both describe when water has touched an object, and to describe the feeling of having water in contact with skin. However, “wet” is more a sensation felt by our nerves. Other animals could feel “wet” in different ways, or not feel “wet” at all; meaning that water is both wet and not wet.
  17. 1) No. 2) One former Republican, now turned independent because he can only look in horror at what his party has become, did vote yes on both counts. 3) 2 Democrats said NO on the first article. 3 Democrats said NO on the second article (with Gabbard voting “present”). 4) Mueller wasn’t proven wrong, he did say in his report that he saw evidence of worrying actions. 5) Trump did commit two crimes (Obstructing an Investigation, Abuse of Power), and possibly two more (Election Rules Violation, Use of Office For Personal Gain). 6) Gabbard will not be the Democratic Candidate, and to be honest, people respect Marianne Williamson more than her. That was back when people still put their duty first, and when both halves of the country still believed in fact. Let’s see. They refused to pass anything Obama brought before them. They shutdown the government multiple times. They made him pass critical legislation as excuetive orders. They were no Antifa attacks, but they were some nice white supremacy rallies where people were killed. There was no impeachment hearings because Obama conducted himself in a respectful manner, and followed the laws of our Constitution. There has still been no attempts to overthrow an election. I personally like him, but I did think he could have down better, but he did what was right most of the time. Republicans prevented more laws than brith control prevented pregnancies.
  18. They may have sent a chess player, but I haven’t seen them in any of the ski results I’ve looked at.
  19. Looks like Pelosi won’t send the articles to the Senate for a while. Trump may very well be under a state of impeachment until and through the election. Though if the Democrats we’re smart, they’d send the articles to the Senate around May, so people could send all summer watching the Republican circus and then vote blue in November.
  20. I didn’t know political TikTok existed, but now I am most definitely invested in it.
  21. Trump only knows this since he visits the Devil quite frequently, and already has a nice plot in the ninth circle waiting for him once his tenure down there begins.
  22. Always a tweet
  23. People will remember Trump as a narcissistic asshole though, since he’s always been one. Believe, people still talk about Clinton all the time. Trump is definitely a monster, and I can point to actions that classify him as such.
  24. I don’t care if the Democratic Party lives or dies, I’m recognized as DSA on my voting papers (though I don’t really affiliate when them either). The Senate will absolutely be a partisan vote without proof. The Democrats have done what the people who voted them in 2018 warned them to do, and what the Republicans did to Obama for 6 years of his presidency.
  25. Words lead to action... Hitler was once a funny little man that said nasty little things...
