  1. No, I have University finals to take today, and there won’t be protests in LA probably.
  2. Yes, the show offers a more realistic depiction of autism than a lot of popular media. It’s a good show. There just isn’t much to enjoy from a critical perspective. I really like “New Amsterdam” as well. Easily one of the best “feel good” shows on television right now.
  3. Good Doctor is a nice late night watch after a rough day of school or work.
  4. Besides V for Vendetta, most of those aren’t movies I’d rate in the top tier. The same goes for Marvel. If I’m comparing the DCEU to the MCU, then the MCU wins by a mile. If you haven’t watched “Watchmen” from HBO last year I highly recommend it. I’m split between that and Chernobyl as to which the “Limited Series of the Year” We are do love our MCU. I’m guilty there. As a critic and fan or art, I hate them. As someone who enjoys some dumb action movies and some light hearted comedy, I love them.
  5. I say this in the kindest way possible; I think you have poor taste. I just don’t see how DC beats Marvel in any. Joker and Wonder Woman both beat the majority of Marvel movies, but that’s about as good as DC gets. It’s a slow, horrible fall from there.
  6. Yeah, they don’t provide a lot of joy. I will say that it’s nice to never have to worry about the postseason though
  7. @dcro this is why we can’t have nice things
  8. They couldn’t find a second Croatian, so they just packed a decomposing horse carcass in the back. You know how it goes, happens all the time.
  9. You always have to watch on Thanksgiving though. It’s American tradition for us to lose when everyone’s watching.
  10. Generally how I feel about the Lions by week 9/10 of the NFL
  11. I’m glad this went public. Now I have a chance in @Dragon trivia contests on Twitter
  12. It’s much more than just a gun issue, but your absolutely right about that compounding it. We have a terrible police culture in this country as well. Plus, you can add in factors like racial inequality, poverty, and mental health issues. It’s just bad all-around and the summary executions of black people by officers is just another consequence like school shooting or the opioid epidemic.
  13. There is a good chance that this is the most upset I’ve been in my life. I saying things that I am so going to regret tomorrow, but I’m so sick and tired of this country. This election will honestly improve nothing most likely (I mean, I hope it does, but I feel like that’s asking a lot). I’m so depressed right now.
  14. I’m honestly having to contain some of the worst anger I’ve ever had right now. I don’t know if this is the full video, but it’s enough for me. The police officer clearly killed the man by suffocating him. Also, I applaud the bystanders for filming this.
  15. Thankfully, we have the Gestapo to show us what appropriate kneeling looks like. People can wish for it, argue for it, and fight for it, but black lives will never matter in this country. We’ll see protests, outrage on Twitter, the officers arrested/suspended, and then everyone will move and officers will be rehired shortly after. I’m ashamed, disgusted, and saddened.
  16. Well Lebanon is nearly 50/50 Christian/Muslim. They are also Christian Palestinians, and another minority religions (same goes for Syria).
  17. That must have been a somewhat common immigration hub after their troubles. Gui Khury’s family is also Brazilian-Lebanese.
  18. According to what source. Literally ever reputable doctor in the U.S. argued against that.
  19. Teams could get sponsors outside of tobacco companies. I do agree the focus has shifted towards manufacturer teams though.
  20. Which is one of the reasons I hate auto racing. No matter what league you watch, there will always be 2 or 3 teams that dominate, and no one else will ever have a chance.
  21. It’s like you said though, he could have chosen not to participate, or he could have just enjoyed himself at the back of the grid. Instead he attempted to cheat and ruined the experience for other drivers. I watch a lot of virtual racing, and maybe that’s why I’m so annoyed by these dumbasses that don’t take it seriously, but I don’t think that it’s unfair to have some consequences. The IAAF had their backyard pole vault, Kendricks didn’t hire a stand-in. Imagine how pissed Athletics would have been if he had. This is a poor analogy (because I don’t think it would ever happen), but hopefully it makes the point I want it to. When you are a professional (or elite amateur) athlete, who have a responsibility to set a good example for those younger than you. Other people look towards you as well, so important to model good behavior. Your behavior doesn’t have to perfect (and no one ever will be perfect), but I feel like not cheating isn’t a high standard to set for someone.
  22. I wouldn’t call these overreactions. If they all agree to put effort into something, and take it semi-seriously; people being assholes should be punished obviously. Plus, like I said before, it makes a mockery of virtual racing (of which there is a large community) and sets a bad example for kids.
  23. I think you’ll be attending that for us, as 12PM Swiss Time is about 2AM my time. I already did enough waking up at Swiss Time this winter anyway
