I’ve been hooked on Community lately. It’s an old comedy that originally aired a little over a decade ago. It’s got 5 seasons, and it’s entertaining. It’s definitely not the best comedy series out there though.

@OlympicIRL What if we did a consolation bracket? (I’m thing maybe called “Best of the Worst”) So if we had 24 entries: We do 4 groups of 6, with the top 4 songs in each advancing to the Round of 16. The 5th and 6th place songs in each group then “advance” to a 8 song single elimination bracket for the title of “Best of the Worst.” Separate thought: How are we going to prevent people from gaming the system? If people vote for each round after the conclusion of the first round, couldn’t people purposely attempt to drag down the score of a song? For example, say in the Round 16 we have the #1 seed versing the #16 seed. Couldn’t everyone just choose to vote for the #16 seed to manufacture an upset of the #1 seed on purpose? I’m not suggesting people would do this, but it does seem like a potential problem to me. I’d love to hear your thoughts @OlympicIRL

Just goggled the worst Tug of War injuries in history. I have now seen a real photograph of a man lying next to his severed arm. As funny as that statement is, it is absolutely true. I don’t believe any major incidents happened at the Olympics, but the sport is known for its odd danger. The list of injuries includes people losing fingers, legs, arms, and (horrifically) heads. That’s not to mention injuries in which people don’t lose limbs. It comes down to physics and safety. Those who play with the proper rules and equipment are fine, those who don’t... Word of advice from my reading on the topic, NEVER use a nylon rope.
