@OlympicIRL Maybe we could have a tribute to international sports songs sometime during the 16 days? People could post their favorite Olympic theme songs, FIFA theme songs, goal songs, etc. Just a nice way to celebrate some sports history through music.

Did the man confront the police? Yes. Is there multiple other ways they could have handled this situation? Absolutely (a simple detainment comes to mind, or even a simple shove to the side while assisting the older man in moving). Should we hold these police accountable? Absolutely.

No, I don’t, but this feels like a case where everyone was pretty much complicit in the system (except maybe the smaller NFs). You are right that I shouldn’t accuse everyone of being guilty. This is just me being frustrated with the horrible state of governance in international sports.

The flag represents the nation and the people. If the people are upset with the nation, they have the right to show it. That’s my opinion on flag burning anyways.

Just watched “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs”; it was pretty good. I’m not sure if it’s better to watch all the vignettes together, or to take a break in between each one. Each of them would be pretty good as stand alone short films though. I don’t want to spoil anything (though this has been available to watch for quite a while now), so I won’t take too much about plot. The acting was solid. The set pieces and cinematography were nice. The special affects could have used quite a bit more work in opinion. It was pretty obvious when special effects were present. I think a lot of this movie was filmed in California, so of course that’s a win in my books.

Yeah, I think so. Marble League starts later this month. I’ll be pulling for the Orangers and Savage Speeders. I used to be a Limers fan, but they disgraced themselves during qualification last year
