    Yeah, I don’t feel like the University Games have fallen into disrepair or something. Entry numbers are down, but given the circumstances, not terrible I suppose. The lack of replays is annoying, but the broadcasts are pretty good when I can catch stuff live. (I realize I sound like a broken record here, but I really am annoyed with the FISU)

    FISU.TV really taking their time uploading replays this edition. It’s so annoying, especially since most of the finals take place from 00:00 to 05:00 in my time zone, which means I can’t watch much of them live

    Summer University Games and Jeux de la Francophonie for me. I suppose those might not meet everyone’s definition of “big events” though Definitely looking forward to cycling and sailing worlds. I might try to follow archery world championships as well. If the Commonwealth Youth Games are broadcast, I might follow those too.

    Cisse , Eseme , Zango , and Koala are probably the headliners of the athletics entries. A decent amount of entries even with Canada, Quebec, France, Luxembourg, New Brunswick, and Wallonia missing. I do think the level will be lower than six years ago though.

    and will face-off in the quarterfinals of women’s basketball, which probably means one of the three or four top teams in the tournament will leave without a chance of medal. will a fantastic opportunity as a result.

    Nickel with an easy victory over The crowd seemed a little shocked with how quick their gold medal chance slipped away, but Nickel was very humble in her victory, which the crowd appreciated.

    was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the team event in table tennis. If they can’t do better in the individual/doubles events, then I can’t see them challenging for the top spot on the medal table.
