  1. Not sure what reparations are, but it's not the thing where people get money because of what happened to their great-great-great-great-great-greatgrandparents, is it?
  2. Which is a problem. There shouldn't be any 'good' or 'bad' formula in terms of someone's skin colour or gender and that goes both ways.
  3. None of them actually talk about (realistic) policy. It's all just a bunch of "we're gonna throw XX trillion at this, and XX trillion at that! Everything is solved then!". No, it won't work like that and every single candidate is entirely delusional if they think they can actually solve a big problem on their own.
  4. Voting for someone (partially) because of their skin colour and gender...meh. Imagine the criticism one gets when saying "I'll vote for X because at least he's a white male"
  5. And Williamson is literally saying nothing that makes sense. Ugh. Go Buttigieg. Sanders, as always, coming across as your 95-year old grandpa who sadly has lost his mind. oldmanyellsatcloud.jpg
  6. Thailand showed us all why this is a wonderful idea
  7. Watching yesterday's Democratic presidential debate and dear lord, can't they give them microphones that simply turn off when the time is up? Every single one of them just keeps dragging on about their totally off-topic bullcrap even when time is over. So far Buttigieg is the only one who seems normal, especially walking skeletons Sanders and Warren literally do nothing but look angry and yell louder to make it seem like their point is better.
  8. 40 can't be divided by 3, so how's that gonna work for Norway? 13 events for Henrik, 13 for Filip and 14 for Jakob?
  9. Yeah not sure it's an actual word I only know transphobic but this has nothing to do with fear, so it ain't a phobia
  10. But if you say this, it's transist.
  11. That would make for some very understandable protests.
  12. @dcro Ever heard of 'Young Riders'? According to our local newspaper, a girl from my wonderful little hometown finished second there and I'm curious where this is on the ladder from "absolutely meaningless" to "huge deal"
  13. I just said pretty much exactly my main reason
  14. I usually find it hard to get excited for any kind of team competition in athletics I just want to see someone finish or jump/throw far/high and then know who won
  15. Wow elections like that sounds like something we haven't seen in the US for at least almost 3 years
  16. Or just have one open category. Not the men's 800m and women's 800m, but only the 800m. I've got a feeling we're gonna see some complaints then though.
  17. That's all cool and stuff for daily life, but it's just not fair if a male proclaims himself female (which one has every right to do, or at least one should have that right) and goes and compete against born females, who are then automatically put at a major physical disadvantage. There's a reason so many more of these problematic cases in sports are around females who are born male rather than males who are born female.
  18. Surely you stayed perfectly calm?
  19. Giro would be an excellent choice. Tokyo road race would be a logical one, although even for someone like Sagan - known as someone who doesn't have much troubles getting over the big mountains - the course might be a tiny bit hard with for example a 6km climb of 10%
  20. It would indeed be 'fun' to see Sagan's antics, somewhere a few minutes behind Van der Poel, Avancini and Schurter
  21. It's not 'completely wrong'. There is no 'completely right' or 'completely wrong' in this way too complicated case. And what kind of bill has been passed there specifically, (even though it's irrelevant in this case)? Letting female athletes with testosteron levels that are way, way above the 'normal situation' compete? Or something else?
  22. Oooooooooooooh scandal @hckosice The team manager of BORA has said Buchmann's 4th place has inspired them so much that next year they're going for the podium....and to do so, they need a stronger team, so "maybe we won't take any sprinter with us". Bye bye Sagan
  23. The Semenya Show drags on, this time Swiss court has sided with IAAF and so she won't be going to the world championships.
  24. For years it was incredibly rare to see an athlete run under 47.50 seconds, now since last year we've got three guys who either broke or nearly broke 47 flat They combined for a total of 11 runs under 47.50 so far, seven of those coming from Abderrahman Samba of Qatar.
  25. I'm gonna try to not get too enthusiastic about the WR, I'm kinda expecting a disappointment
