  1. Or a shitload of stickers and I'll stick 'em everywhere, from the general areas to the Family Club (where the athletes and coaches eat, hello athletes on Totallympics )
  2. Someone give me a flag and then, sure
  3. I have some IBU Cup bib numbers ('some' meaning 'a lot'), quite a few accreditations of a certain athlete and one with my own name and photo on it, would that count? We only need 7 more members then
  4. I don't want to search yet because spoilers, but do you know if it's possible to see yesterday's stuff for example on YouTube?
  5. And there they go, a Belgian town has started with the demolition of a 13th century grand piece of military architecture, a bridge that has to be destroyed in order for bigger ships (= more money) to pass through (video in the article) https://www.vrt.be/vrtnws/nl/2019/08/02/afbraak-van-historische-brug-pont-des-trous-in-doornik-is-begonn/
  6. Sure, although it's terribly sad this still has to be considered news.
  7. That last lap of Van der Poel was (again) insane The way he completely, utterly destroyed Avancini....Mother of God, have mercy on our souls. Then again, those short track tracks are all just cyclo-cross tracks instead of really MTB tracks, which is of course completely perfect for him.
  8. Like in the World Cups, one of the many good reasons why sports climbing very much deserved to be Olympic. No dumb pay-walls (haha, walls) or stuff that's impossible to find, no, the whole season can be watched for free with excellent commentary on the single best streaming platform
  9. Yeah, but for some people every single detail like that is enough to come up with weird conspiracy theories leading to "9/11 was CIA's plan"
  10. And your conspiracy thing about him being a CIA agent does not come from TV, YouTube or some internet website?
  11. I heard he was an agent of the alien overlords from HW644978 in Galaxy X2336.
  12. The good Taliban is the one that only imprisons gay people instead of throwing them off buildings and only cuts off your hand instead of head, or what?
  13. Yeah that's probably not a 'mistake' or something, it's just that the strength usually changes quite a bit in the first hour or so when more and more measurements come in. The one I posted already went from 6.8 to 6.9 and back to 6.8 for example
  14. Around 20 minutes ago? Records now have it as around 6.8 but yeah, that's strong..
  15. The only way to have peace with the Taliban is to destroy every single one of them, it seems. Much like IS. And I didn't realize it was about the Middle East, since I didn't think Iran was part of the Middle East. Apparently Cyprus and Turkey are too (Turkey being less surprising, since not a lot of people see it as part of Europe but as part of Asia anyway). Another thing learned https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_East
  16. By the way, continueing on the Democratic debates (I'm now one hour in): they're still all so..much..the...same. All they're doing is avoiding the questions, avoiding each other to drum up their own pre-practiced nonsense and - most of all - say as many numbers as possible. "Did you know...over 80% of this and that!" and "More than 500.000 of this and that omg!".
  17. Didn't Afghanistan go pretty fast as well? I mean, I remember seeing photos from the 60's (or something) where people are free to wear what they want and stuff like that and all of a sudden everything and everyone is covered...although I'm not sure that happened as fast as the 'overnight change' you mentioned in Iran
  18. 48 MPX is so The Party can keep a better eye on what you're doing
  19. Kill her? Surely her husband loves her dearly?
  20. Well yeah, and when there's even people protesting against recognizing the genocide, you know something is wrong (and you know your propaganda is working, hello Turkey). This by the way: For fuck's sake, yeah. "You know what? Holocaust wasn't so bad, because there were also Germans killed by Jews and resistance fighers!"
  21. Huh what? I didn't mean to say "it's a small deal", 'a bit of a thing' was meant as an understatement since it's obviously one of the largest tragedies in history. I've got a tiny feeling you misunderstood my post.
  22. For those interested, the South American program this month, all in Ushuaia (Argentina). FIS says the first ones are in Tierra Mayor but that is literally the exact same track, probably the Brazilian federation was just a bit more specific for their national championships than Argentina was for their races - 08/08: Sprint Skating 1.2km (Brazilian Championships) - 09/08: Sprint Classic 1.2km - 10/08: Distance 5km/10km Skating (Brazilian Championships) - 13/08: Sprint Classic 1.4km (South American Championships) - 14/08: Distance 5km/10km Classic - 15/08: Distance 5km/10km Skating (South American Championships) - 18/08: 50km Ushuaia Loppet Classic* * A certain Totallympian's girlfriend will make her official 50k debut there Which should go well, she had a 100km rollerski training here and next year we're planning a 150km one... The 100km made her convinced she wants to one day try the Vasaloppet
  23. in b4 her 'accidentally' being hit by a car or something..
  24. Now I know the whole Armenian Genocide thing is a bit of a 'thing' and rightfully so, but 1,5 billion is around 1000 times too high
