  1. That wasn't fair, he just lied down on Grol
  2. According to Wikipedia Silva is 165kg? I mean, I see the guy is huge, but 165kg?
  3. Alright, that's a provisional quota for the Dutch men's four. Now they 'only' need one of the following results next year: - Top-3 in World Cup 1 - Top-4 in World Cup 2 - Top-5 in World Cup 3 - Top-5 in the European Championships No commentator, no 'massive celebrations in the boat', since they're not qualified for the Olympics yet
  4. Just noticed in this pararowing event there's a cox (?) all buried in the front of the boat
  5. I've learned from predicting way, way too low scores in events I thought were more competitive
  6. "Back to school je cool!" I like Serbian TV commercials slogans
  7. Good luck
  8. To be fair, pretty much every twist they do would probably result in me breaking my ankles Still better than Pita's canoeing skills.
  9. I am more intrigued by those balls by the way: they look like bowling balls - so shiny - but surely they're not balancing bowling balls on top of their finger?
  10. in b4 the world exploding, people falling over each other to say "OMG" the loudest and CNN coming with a 2-hour documentary
  11. The Netherlands was slightly less close to qualifying, but no way there's any attention for it here (maybe the final will be mentioned in the sports news, as in "Serbia beat the disappointing USA and won gold" but that's all) F1 is of course far more important here too, but then again, we've got a public broadcaster (but to be fair, there's cycling today among others) and two sports channels wth multiple channels. I guess they didn't wanna waste money on an event sadly almost nobody would watch.
  12. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judo_at_the_2015_Southeast_Asian_Games Zaw Myo Ooo , who got bronze in the -90kg, was now fighting at the world championships in the +100kg and he was absolutely huge (not in the tall, muscled way...) I'd guess he was at the very least 120kg or something, in only four years that is some gain
  13. Celebrations in Bulgaria meanwhile @Federer91
  14. Marcel Hirscher is most likely going to announce his immediate retirement Wednesday He has invited all kinds of media for a press conference and the title of it suggests it's to announce the end of his career.
  15. Plus the way he avoided the ippon with one minute to go in the final, what the hell
  16. And Serena. Because we all have to see Serena win her super exciting matches 6-1, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-2 and so on (with luckily more and more exceptions nowadays) and so whatever they do, Eurosport will show it.
  17. You put your popcorn back, not gonna let Voldemort ruin my evening
  18. And is doing everything she can, with all possible help*, to make it to Beijing 2022 as well. Her fans on live YouTube streams of Brazilian MTB races are hilarious. If she wins because someone else (Goulão) had terrible bad luck, it's all because she was the best. If someone else wins because Mourão had bad luck (recent national champs) and you point out that last time she only won because of someone else's bad luck, they damn near threaten to kill you for not supporting her and for not saying she should have won. Go Goulão. *
  19. Yeah but I'd prefer any 5th set of whoever over any other match just starting (especially if it has Williams in it ). Much like Eurosport and/or Dutch TV (when they have the rights) often annoy me by always 'having' to show Federer, Djokovic, Nadal, blabla. Most of the time that ends up being an incredibly one-sided match, while lesser known players are battling out great matches.
  20. This seems pretty standard We have one of those things at home (probably a bit less sharp by now) which is simply called a pizza cutter (at least so it is in Dutch).
  21. Sounds like that was a pretty good choice Meanwhile Halep and Kvitova are out and Nadal didn't even have to play Kokkinakis, who withdrew, while Djokovic' shoulder wasn't looking good at all.
  22. Oh, happy birthday
  23. Yeah a certain Brazilian has done the same (Olympics in MTB and XC)
