  1. By the way, in the 80's and 90's there was a Dutch amateur cycling team sponsored by a sex club, Sauna Diana. They got sort of famous for their bus which appeared in the Tour de France, and the team competed among other things in the Trump Tour. Yes, that's the Trump Famous story here, but apart from 'hey a team sponsored by a sex club', it did actually have influence: in that time, even pro riders had nothing more than a wet towel to clean themselves up a little in their team manager's car after a race, but thanks to Sauna Diana, the normal thing quickly became for teams to have a full-blown bus with more and more luxuries on board - going from simply some private space, to showers, massages, beds etc and the semi-hotels we know now.
  2. At least, unlike cigarettes, Durex is a smart instead of dumb thing to use
  3. You are not seriously comparing Peter Velits* with someone who's beating the very top of the world at and even before age 20 right? *despite two decent performances, in one of which he was at the finish - according to the commentator - 'a Slovenian, or either a Slovak or a Czech' Which has nothing to do with him of course, but I found it funny to hear that when searching for it just now
  4. Yep, not a bad thing they aren't around anymore. Even though the JPS colors were beautiful and I even have a drinking cup in those colors, a combination of Coritinthians (football) and Ayrton Senna, present from my dad in law
  5. I'm not, this is the 2020 thread so I assumed you guys were talking about the main alternative for ESC2020, the big online Eurostream event
  6. American bobsledder Pavle Jovanovic - who was succesful as part of Steven Holcomb's crew, and at the end had a few less succesfull appearances for Serbia as well - has ended his life at the age of only 43, as announced by his former teammate Steven Mesler.
  7. I haven't really gotten into the Eurostream thing, but who is winning?
  8. The only reason I got Evenepoel is because it was the world championships (as shown by the little rainbow in the graphics) and I couldn't remember Ilan van Wilder or Mauri Vansevenant winning a world title (which I assume is why the pictured rider was celebrating) and Evenepoel most definitely did
  9. I'm requesting a permanent ban for you if you had Sagan wrong
  10. 'Recognize the cyclist by their celebration'. It's in Dutch, but you see a photo and three names so that doesn't matter I had 6 out of 10 https://sporza.be/nl/2020/05/08/quiz-herken-jij-de-renner-aan-de-hand-van-zijn-zegegebaar~1588954222066/
  11. Right, for a moment I thought there was something I didn't know
  12. Why does it feel like Minsk always steps in for every postponed event ever?
  13. Best ESC winner instead of specifically best song, to be precise, but yeah Too bad Lordi wasn't in the past 10 years.
  14. A factor in that is the way of counting. Many or most countries count deaths who have been tested positive, whereas Belgium counts everyone who died and had symptoms, tested or not. A majority of counted deaths comes from places like nursing homes, where 96%* of the deaths were suspected, but unconfirmed cases. They were however counted as COVID-19 deaths. *this was two weeks ago or so, but I doubt it changed significantly
  15. Meanwhile a bit of alcohol last night worked miracles in finishing one of the MW2 Spec Ops on the highest difficulty Couldn't do it for the life of me, until apparently with a tiny bit of help I thought "fuck it" at some hard points and just went for it, with success Nine stars to go, three of which have to be done in co-op mode only (probably with my dad, although being an actual life-long military man makes him play a little too realistic (as in, slow) for these things on higher difficulties ).
  16. Toxic communities, people playing in bullshit ways, singleplayer simply being more fun, etc
  17. Yeah, fun to look back at but luckily things are different now indeed. People who are supposed to be role models (whether they want it or not) smoking away, not a damn thing in terms of safety and so on.
  18. Those sweet, sweet cars really get the heart pumping
  19. Sure, but I can't get over how annoying and weird that jumping is so I can't be bothered to get experience in it That's why I like campaigns more, at least you can play in what seems like a tiny bit of a more realistic way. I know going solo for a mission, or just standing and shooting hoping you don't get hurt isn't realistic at all, but at least it's better than the multiplayer stuff for me
  20. Oh, Mass Effect is an FPS I guess, I loved that! The whole trilogy, I loved the whole story thing and deciding stuff, Andromeda was rather mediocre.
  21. COD is most of what I played in terms of FPS I think, although I also loved Medal of Honor (Allied Assault and the likes). I sort of stopped when Black Ops II came around with that dumb futuristic shit, I started that game but didn't get past 10% of the campaign or something. Also, I pretty much only play for campaigns (and Spec Ops in this case, but singleplayer with co-op as exception), I hate multiplayer games where you go online and people are just jumping around like hyperactive rabbits on steroids That shit's just dumb.
  22. I hit Subscribe because why not. Mariachi music isn't exactly my style, to say it like that, but I listened their Game of Thrones rendition and that was pretty cool
  23. Meanwhile I'm pretty much only playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Spec Ops these days (and sometimes MW3 Spec Ops) 10 out of 69 stars to go
