  1. And Clareburt from looking good for silver to 7th in the last part.
  2. Awesome final (especially for silver and bronze) to start it off
  3. Here goes the swimming. I didn't know Daiya Seto is a cheater (not the doping kind), that makes it a lot easier to not feel sorry for him missing out on his home final Thanks commentator
  4. That one was fun Normally that amount of goals would mean a total blowout, I can't remember two teams both getting close to 20
  5. For those interested: pick a live stream if you hadn't yet and rewind 10 minutes or so for Iran vs Iran
  6. Was this moved in the schedule? Pretty sure it was originally scheduled to start a few minutes ago instead of two hours ago.
  7. Yeah, flight KL861 is becoming quite the thing. Also a second commentator who was on that flight tested positive.
  8. Two positive cases among staff of the Dutch rowing team, including the head coach of the women's team...can we get those finals in today?
  9. Wow, I had imagined at ISSF events it'd be different. Like a simple 'tower' of scores somewhere on the left of the screen, updated with every shot. That should be so easy to do and improve the ease of following it so enormously
  10. How are the graphics in ISSF events usually? Do they at least have the total standings/scores during the finals? I tried to watch the men's final when it wasn't live anymore today, but that's just impossible (can't use live scores when not watching live), they barely show anything of how the competition is going at all..
  11. Example: https://olympics.com/tokyo-2020/olympic-games/en/results/all-sports/noc-schedule-netherlands.htm Keep in mind that in one-day events like judo, taekwondo, fencing and so on, they do only show the first round of course, since the potential next rounds aren't in the schedule by name yet, so that's something to either refresh during the day or keep an eye on yourself.
  12. In that case, that is actually a very impressive feat for a small place like Bahrain! Not like Qatar, when they bought half the handball world a few years ago (?), what Bahrain does seems genuinely good.
  13. Yes, I am aware of that, but the thing is that 90% of the streams don't have that option where one usually chooses the audio feed. A very small amount of streams do, where you can indeed choose for the ambient sound or English or whatever, but a very large majority doesn't have that option, meaning there is no commentary available. And that's not good at all.
  14. But surely things like heats in swimming or rowing shouldn't be too hard to find someone for? When not watching live, it feels like watching the European short course championships morning heats or something... Hopefully those were all part of the technical nightmare and tomorrow they will start to be up to par with what they actually have to offer.
  15. I've definitely gotten used to Eurosport Player's offer, and in terms of watching what I want to watch, it's absolutely working perfectly. Basically everything is available and very easy to find (browser and Android app). The only thing is that at least 95% of the streams I've watched today are without any sort of commentary, in any language. Weightlifting had an English duo and so does taekwondo, but that's about it. Of course Eurosport 1 and 2 has commentators since it's on TV, but that's not the main point. Having all those streams without commentators is such a major letdown. You've got dozens of millions to spend on rights, but nothing for a few generic commentators?
  16. Zonderland was doubting right after the competition, but has made up his mind now: he is calling it a career and won't compete in the world championships, so that's that. He will definitely go down in Dutch sports history as one of the greats
  17. Oh damn, they were all serious contenders? I didn't count Zonderland as such because of his past year, I had Deurloo significantly higher in mind than him Sad for Uchimura by the way, basically the king of the sport for so long, but now the Olympics in his home country are just too late...
  18. Did any big medal contender end up missing out? Quick look suggests not really, but as someone who doesn't often follow it, it's hard to differentiate between all the Russians and Chinese and such of whom I'm not sure if they're good on rings or floor or parallel bars etc
  19. Brazil getting level with a lucky penalty* and going ahead with a Christmas gift as a goal
  20. Out of curiousity: why do most of these pistol shooters have their non-shooting hand in the pocket of their sweatpants as if they're waiting for their buddy at the corner of the street? I'm assuming it's a balance thing?
