    It's insane what Van Gerwen is doing, throwing at nearly 110 average and a 90% finishing rate, there's absolutely nothing one can do against that. And Evans is really not playing bad, at all.

    Wait what, why would they do that other than in the USA where probably every drop that's been tested has been BREAKING NEWS? Vaccination is probably going to start here in two weeks or so and I really hope they won't have that exaggerated stuff of showing things like 'the first vaccination' and so on (you know, since whoever they show isn't the first anyway) And here too it will be the important people first, meaning healthcare workers and people working directly with patients.

    And then Jason Lowe of all places beat Michael Smith. Fair play to Lowe, he played excellent and it definitely wasn't just because Smith didn't really turn up, but man...he beat the 4th ranked player and still there was not a single sign of any emotion. It can hardly get any more...dull.

    They have breaks when there is no action on the podium (like the breaks between sets), because that's when we switch to the host and his guests in the studio (in which the commentators are as well in their own corner)

    South African Cameron Carolissen got a bye into the second round due to Kleermaker's positive test and Josh Payne (first reserve) having been in contact with a person who tested positive. Now he's playing 25th ranked Danny Noppert and Noppert is playing....absolutely terrible Carolissen has already won the first five legs before Noppert finally won one (because Carolissen missed a dart for the set). Wow.

    On which, according to experts, the vaccines most likely will work as well. Bit of a panic reaction to shut down everything from the UK in a matter of hours now (the Netherlands stopped all flights from the UK during the last night, out of the blue), but alright. Let's see how it goes.

    I heard a "oh that's cramp, I know exactly how she feels judging by how she is holding her leg" next to me when we saw that, hopefully that is indeed what it was. Personally I fear it could be worse than cramp, but let's just hope it's not, never good to see athletes get injured.

    Everyone is only 17 (well, some exceptions of course) So far Geraghty-Moats remains the overwhelming favourite, although of course that's going to change more and more once the women's Nordic combined grows from a children's event to an adult event in the next 3-4 years or so.

    Why is it always so hard for FIS to have decent results for team sprints? The results for the women's A and B semi's today both point to a different link, but end up presenting the exact same PDF (result of semi A), the result of semi B is nowhere to be found even in the 'live' timing
