  1. Can someone close the bar please?
  2. Yeah no, that was not a penalty Mr Taremi. And he doesn't seem to understand referees aren't discussing with a player about their decision
  3. That Iranian #23 yelling so loud I was convinced he had snapped his leg in half, then one minute later he was up and running all fine
  4. Oh and our commentator said the Iranian players had been told to sing the anthem or else their families would be the victims of violence or even torture. Sounds like one of them typical western horror stories about Iran or North Korea?
  5. Ugh, those thousands of morons booing the anthem. I presume Americans, or do Iranians do it as well @MHSN Apologies for the ignorance but you might understand it's all slightly confusing for those not in the Iranian world and culture (for me at least) Anyhow, I don't care which sport and which player or country it is, booing an anthem is not-done.
  6. Beautiful way to honor the legendary Papa Bouba Diop exactly two years after his death.
  7. Well that was a short Ecuadorian party
  8. Much as I'd prefer Ecuador to win (since that would secure the Netherlands to go on and sadly that's still not a certainty), we will have to agree to disagree there
  9. The one that Senegal scored? How would that not be a penalty? That was a full body check right there...
  10. Hahahaha Valencia No idea how he escaped without yellow.
  11. One and a half hour of excruciatingly painful 'football', here we go.
  12. The Dutch commentator didn't
  13. TV directors entirely missing the existence of Niklas Hartweg, who takes the lead after shooting 4.
  14. Ah crap, looks like they'll use the same graphics from now on we saw in the IBU Cup earlier today They were....unclear.
  15. Exactly, I know it's just race one, but so far Lampic puts Nilsson's change in a whole different light
  16. If they play the way they played against Ecuador in specifically the second half, I have no idea how the Netherlands can avoid losing to Qatar. Not joking, we've had two full rounds of group play and I still have not seen a single team play as awful for a full half as the Dutch second half against Ecuador.
  17. And she ends up not even that far away from the podium, from +1:11 after the last shooting to +0:37 at the finish and so far only Tilda Johansson is within one minute (barely) of her skiing time
  18. Anamarija Lampic throws away a potential podium on her international biathlon debut Which is not meant negatively, but the opposite: until shot 9, she was well in position for even a win! Sadly shots 9 and 10 were missed, after one miss in the prone shooting which she basically made up entirely on the skis.
  19. I'd honestly doubt that. Even those short highlight videos usually got to 2k views or so. Which is fine for something relatively obscure as the IBU Cup, but long-ass broadcasts...? I don't think a lot of people would go back and watch the whole thing...commentary or not.
  20. I think Senegal, Ecuador, Iran and England can prepare for the knockout round after today.
  21. Probably because they realize there'll be like 50 views and it's just not worth it? Although they could have looped the stadium speaker through to have something at least.
  22. Race day in both IBU Cup and World Cup and it's all available to watch and rewatch and everything
  23. As the expert here said "Technically it's a penalty because he wasn't using his arm to support himself yet, but he was very obviously falling and going to use that arm to break his fall and so support himself." In other words, insanely technically speaking, it could be a penalty (since he was like 0,5 seconds away from actually supporting himself on that arm, he hadn't fallen far enough yet), but it's basically nonsense to really give it.
  24. Right, you should let yourself fall and get a concussion, because if you try to break your fall it's hands.
  25. Yes, that is what I meant Ronaldo had nothing to do with that goal.
